nope, i don't think it's a bug. get used to it , he'll probably want to kiss you during one of the main plot quests...

Yup. Curio is a real egalitarian, not prejudiced in the least

Of course, thanks to the console, he's currently languishing in the dungeon of my telvanni stronghold in at least one of my save games.
