From a role-playing perspective, who's your favourtie NPC? My favourites:

1. Jan - cause he's just plain hilarious.
2. Korgan - an axe wielding dwarf with a scottish accent. 'Nuff said.
3. Keldorn - righteous paladins rock.
4. Minsc and Boo - Evil, meet my sword. Sword, MEET EVIL!
5. Haer'Dalis and Jaheira - When together in a party, they produce some damn funny dialogue.

Most hated NPC: Anomen (Bet you all saw that coming)

TOP 3 FAVOURITE NPCs:

3. Mazzy - she may be good, but she's certainly the least annoying with the sweetest voice...ah!

2. Korgan - money greedy, head stealin', chop lovin', axe spinnin', hammer wackin', hell of a dwarven battlerager! (and he ain't your typical lawful hill or mountain dwarf either)

1. Viconia - oooh, sexy drow language, cuttin' bitter remarks, + the romance (which I have yet to enjoy). Yes, she's definitely Mrs.BG2 IMO.

Most Hated NPC: Jaheira - she annoys me to the very core of my bones! HATRED! Argh, how I hate her. "What do you and your rodent know", "Stranger, you are nobody", "It is not time for this conversation child", "Words are nothing": she is *****y with everyone. Guess what Jaheira? Drop dead!!

OMG!!! Someone who's most hated NPC isn't Anomen!!!

Have to admit, Jaheira can be pretty annoying...

ok mine are
1.Minsc-hes been there with you since beggining of the game and hes a pretty mean 2handed sword wielder

2.tashia-shes pretty cool and shes got a really cool option that lets you get riddles

3.jaheira-........i have noo idea

My favorites are (not necessarily in order, mind you):

1. Keldorn - Perhaps the nicest guy you'd ever meet. He does well in the party, too.

2. Jan - Definitely up my alley. He's absolutely hilarious. The yell he emits when hit is great, too. I also give him the "Best Dying Line" award of all the NPCs.

3. Imoen - She has some nifty things to say, every once in while. I like her little jab at Keldorn.

4. Minsc & Boo - Lovable pair.

5. Jaheira - Sharp, sometimes acidic. She pulls her own weight in the party, too. Her romance is the most interesting, to me.

Most Hated:

1. Nalia - Ugh. She's a space cadet.

My favorite NPC is Imoen, the perfect little sister.

In BG1, the NPC's never said very much, so my favorite was Minsc, who was the funniest. In BG2, all of the NPC's are fleshed out quite nicely, and I enjoy playing with most of them, even Anomen, who's funny as long as everyone is picking on him.

My most hated NPC in BG2: Edwin. He's a jerk, and he's not funny. (I disagree with all of you on that point, so don't bother telling me I'm wrong.) Although some of the things that happen to him are funny.

Well, I have seen a thread like this 4 or 5 times in only a month. So people should start reading threads that already exists..... I'm getting a little tired of reading the some posts over and over again.

You say from a roleplaying view, Korgan is chaotic evil..... but minsc and keldorn! I wouldn't call that roleplaying.... If you are a paladin, you shouldn't bring korgan, that ain't roleplaying.


By the way, Korgan, Edwin and Jan are the best NPC's in BG2!!!

1- Nalia - I don't care what you say that woman has great priorities and is a blast to be around. About here being weak though, well i'm sure Irenicus (I had her take him on alone) agrees with you.

2- Jan - Nuff said.

3- Kelsey - He offers a new perspective on things and having a sorcerer that isn't me is a blast.

Hate- Jaheria - We must protect the "stab her in face" balance or "stab" bad "stab" things "stab, stab, stab."

Here are mine
1.Jaheira.IMHO one of the better developed characters in the whole saga plus has an excellent if buggy romance
2.Korgan.Psycopathic killer with an axe.I really like him
3.HaerDalis.Good lines plus he's a bard,the most flexible class in the game
4.Yoshimo.Great thief,good lines,good plot
5.Keldorn.Only palladin and a good one!

Most hated
1.The gnome.I CAN'T STAND HIM
2.Aerie.Close second.Her whining really gets on my nerves.

Really though. I've preached this about a thousand times, but I don't try to change peoples' opinions. I try to make them see.

I mean. *you* try growing up in his situation. Your mother died younge, your father is a hopeless drunkard, your sister takes abuse she really doesn't deserve, you're currently climbing ranks from the lowest position in the Order with NO money or aid...all at the same time when you can't pull your life together yourself. I dunno about you, but I'd be a really screwed up child!

But my most hated NPC is probably Valygar. He doesn't talk AT ALL. Drives me nuts! Alongside him, I really hate Keldorn. Don't know why. I just do. **ducks from the flying fruit**

Backwards opinions, huh?

My favourite NPC would have to be Cernd, because I have a gaping hole in my head.

Minsc, could not stand him even from BGI

I didn't mean having them all in the party at the same time...i was talking about the npcs themselves....my last party was Aerie, Keldorn, Minsc, Mazzy, Jan/Imoen.

MAN YOU SUCK I HATE YOU....Just kidding .........good point...we should all say sorry to Anomen and give him the attention he deserves...maybe he'll change...then again maybe he won't because he a scripted computer character. Argh, am I treating a BG2 NPC like a real person? I've got to get out more often.

Jaheira - the "good" druid, sacrifices a lot for the PC
Jan - fun
New_NPC_in_ToB - great char, great lines, great and "bendable" interactions
Annah - absolutely the b.. uops, wrong game!
(Go Annah!!! I wish Annah was in BG2 too...)

Hated:

Jan because of the dialogue, he is quite pathetic when compared to the others.
