I killed Yxu-what's-her-name and got the Heartstone Gem. BUT when I went back through Dragon's Eye, all the captive villagers were still there and I couldn't find Egenia again (yes, I freed her before this). Assuming she just went back to Kuldahar I went there and the priestess of Ilmater said there had been no word from Egenia. Also, Marchon of Waterdeep never goes anywhere; he sticks around in the Yuan-Ti torture chambers.

Is this a bug or have I not done something? I'd like to get it straightened out before I go to Severed Hand.

I apologize if this has been asked already; I'm pressed for computer time and can't read through all the threads. Thanks

As far as i know Egenia never returns to Kuldahar, after you free her she stays for a while to provide some healing and the she's gone. Did you talk to the other captive villagers, you will notice if you freed them from the lines they says.

This *is* a little funny.

Depending on what you say to them, Eugenia and Marchon hang around to give healing/rest chances or they dissapear.

Some of the villagers always hang around. There is one that you have to talk to after freeing Eugenia - nondescript individual closest to the entrance to the next lowest level (behind Eugenia). IIRC, some leave after this. Others, like the kids you rescue, also leave after dialogue.

There appears to be some sort of unfinished quest with rescuing Eugenia - the temple in Kuldahar is looking for her...?
