so here i was tooling around dagon fell, off to do the azuras star quest, when i see my target golden saint, i was leviating, of course, and i think..burn baby, burn, and hit it with gods fire....
i died 5 second later...
so i look up saints, and see they have reflect, so i think, ok, i hit her with the spell targetted on the center of mass, bad idea....
reload, and save just before the island, and deliberately hit her with gods fire, good spell, about e1/8 of an inch off, so the blast should cook her...
still die...
i ten switch to smaller greater fireballs, and pelt her, until she dies...
moral of the story....
a number of smaller fireballs or spells are better always for combat, since tehy could pack reflect, and even if you DONT hit the center of mass, which is the way you expect reflect to work, they can still bounce the spell back at you, and even my superb 100 will power atronach breton is totally vunerable to a reflected spell, seems to bypass all my magic warding completely...
but a number of smaller area effect blasts will allow your regen items to keep up and keep you healthy while half of the fireballs should get thur, and cook your target...
hence the natural superiority of the crimson battlesuits!!!
enchanted items shoot FAST!!!! so fast, you hardly ever miss the big spells, and cheap...oh boy, i tested a firestorm lightning bolt staff versus a cheap 8 point damage health ring, and the ring killed faster and used less total charges per monster typ than the killer staff...
so use fast enchanted items for tactical every day killing, and save the bigf spells to show off to the locals to "oooohhhhh...aaaahhhh..." them...
ok another tip for the fashion contious enchanter...
had a sword with soul trap and damage health...
the trap was 14 second, the damage health was around 8 seconds, the sucker glowed purple!!!
but if you lower the duration of the soul trap to below 8 seconds, the sword glows red...
so for those of you who like multiple enchanted items, the duration seems to be key in choosing waht color the magic aura seems to be....
so here is the scoop...
soul trap, purple
damage health red( my fav)
elemental damage gold..
so pick your spell effects carefully, and if you dont like the glow color, add a cheap, longer duration second spell to make it look pretty...
i know this is rather funny, but hey, looks matter when enchating items!!!!
