Dwarven, Orcish, Nord

Orcish armor is better than Dwarven (and lighter), Nordic claymore is sharper than Dwarven one (heavier, too, though). Wat's the reason of hunting Dwemer weaponry save if for sale? And the main sources of money aren't selling the armor and weapons anyway.
I wonder also if there's a Dwarven katana or another one-handed sword. Still have seen only axe, claymore, spear and halberd. And it seems Nords do not have catanas.
TIA,
L.

The main reason? For the sport of it all. It's the reward at the end of the trial. Whether you keep it or not, is up to you.

Dwarves and Nords are too manly to use pansy weapons like katanas, daggers, wakizashis, tantos, etcetera.

Hammers, Spears and axes!

There's almost no difference between claymore and dai-katana.
And there is such a thing as Dwarven shortsword. I guess there might be also Dwarven shield, so i see no reason why there couldn't be one-handed Dwarven heavy weapon .
I know there's Orcish warhammer. Is there any other Orcish weapon in the game?
TIA,
L.

Maybe that dremora lord was a relative of the one I felled, @T'lainya. It had a dwarven axe, as well. :D Those things are far too heavy, IMO, for anything save a major skill weapon. I prefer carrying around three or four weapons of choice, so that isn't one of 'em. Fetched me a good price, though.

The thing about dwarven is it's not -that- hard to come by if you make the effort. Until a heavy-armor PC makes the jump to finding ebony and daedric pieces, dwarven is the best heavy armor type they'll have.

Orcish is pretty nice, but can be a bit difficult to find all of without killing either of a couple of specific guys I can think of. But it's medium, so the comparison between dwarvish and orcish should be a non-issue as they're of differing types.

Of course, the best medium armor type is dreugh. Shame only a cuirass, shield and helm exists. If there were a complete outfit -- and if the dreugh helm weren't so ugly -- medium would be really viable.

Well, yeah, I also use Bound Longsword for that special feeling of success--but my character is a mercenary, and he's devoted to learning other weapons that he's never really trained in. Over time, he's worked up his spear, axe and blunt skills quite a bit. He enjoys it, and there's always the security of knowing your weapon is going to poof on you in the next combat--or at least, so he thinks. ;)

There is an Orcish Cuirass and Orcish Boots at the very begining (not in starting town, though) Although they are not for sale :D (you anyway couldn't afford them), but one can get them without killing anybody.
Just some time ago got Orcish Greaves just laying about somewhere (do not remember where, though, some chest in open perhaps).

umbra has full suit of orcish, and very nice it looked too, until i got dragonbone and bearclaw helm....

i dropped ti, it clashed, and went for full daedric again...

ok, i NEED my armor to LOOK good, and orcish and dragonbone armor just looked funky...

but full orcish is cool, will make you really feel like a samurai, especially that killer helm, with snarling kabuki mask helm...

daedric, especially if you go full daedric does not look good...

ebony looks funky and way too imperial...

A fashion conscious powergamer... how unusual.

"Well..... I WOULD wear this uber +300 strength amulet, but it just doesn't match my boots"

currently running dragon bone cuirass, bear claw helm, bound boots orcish bracers...

waiting to see if fists of rangulf will clash with rest of outfit...

puldrons of daedric, and greaves of daedric, all 3 with ranged dmage health spells as per crimson battlesuit exploit, so they swirl this cool reddish color highlights....

exquiste pants shirt and belt, but hardly any show thru armor, so i can deal with those funky god aweful yellow pants!!!!

wait a second, extravagent pants type 2 or 3 look pretty darned good....

ok, if drop the exquisite pants for extravagant pants, which goes really well with the jerkin like look of the really nice and totally wearable exquisite shirt, i lose maybe a few points when i wear all chameleon gear, since my pants and shirt have constant effect chameo on all the time, but wait...make another exquiste belt, with chameo on, and thus i can afford the lower enchantment level of the extravagant pants, and look so much better than those really funky yellow pants~!!!!!!

ok, will have to go shopping once stronghold is finished!!!

hooray!!!!

to kill well, you have to dress well...
