When I got on the ship with Saemon, everything seemed to progress as normal, except that when we were boarded, I couldn't seem to defeat the Kao tao (spelling?) captain. For some reason, he was invincible. So instead of reloading, I just talked to Saemon while my guys were still fighting the captain, and Saemon acted like we had never left Brynnlaw (spelling?). He gave me another silver blade as a *reward* and this time it actually worked, and the people boarded our boat looking for the blade. Now, I have TWO silver baldes.

A similar thing happened in the underwater city. I recieved a magical rope from the prince, and when I clicked on the dead body of the old king, there was another magical rope. Now I have TWO magical ropes AND TWO silver blades.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is there any benefit... at all?

It's a bug (i think)
Never heared of it,

Just drop one blade (it's useless unless you have 2handles as well)
And drop one cloack to.

I wouldn;t worry to much,
still it's a weird bug.

The two Silver blades is a bug, the two magical ropes isn't. Since you can choose either side in the Shaugin City, both of them have the rope to offer you as a reward for killing the other, allowing you to leave the city. And as far as use is concerned, like the others said two Silver blades alone won't do you much good, unless you get two Silver hilts...

Happened to me too. Second blade is useless although you can sell it for minor gold. You can't even appease the Gith with it as you need them hostile to get the hilt.
