Just a question about a character. I was wondering if anyone knew the full story behind Yoshimo. He seems like a decent enough character. But what is his past and why does he turn on you in the Asylum?

I dont really know the full story behnf yoshimo,but i suspect that he was put into your party by Irenicus and then he betrays you in the most uncomfortable situation for you, so Irenicus have the edge over you. Maybe something else,just my thoughts

The Yoshimo-lovers out there could probably fill you in on the details better than I could, but here are the basics.

Yoshimo is a Thief of some repute, at least in his own mind. He always worked freelance, and he got in trouble for it with Renal Bloodscalp, one of the leaders of the Shadow Thieves, since they don't like it when other thieves work on their turf. Yoshimo then went to work for Jon Irenicus, who also crossed the Shadow Thieves in some unspecified way. Like all of Irenicus's employees, Yoshimo had to submit to a geas. He was ordered to keep an eye on your character and make sure your characters were drugged before they reached Spellhold. In his defense, Yoshimo never meant your character any harm, and he never thought that Irenicus would cause your character any permanent harm. But a geas is a powerful thing, and he had to obey Irenicus's orders or die. When Irenicus ordered him to attack your character, Yoshimo was pretty fatalistic about the whole affair. He begged for your forgiveness and asked you, essentially, to end his life and take his heart to the Temple of Ilmater so that his soul could be redeemed. There was no hope of resurrection or a joyful reunion or anything like that. He came into your life, he betrayed you, and then he was gone.
