sneak attack with spells?

Hi folks!!!

I'm so incredibly exited that it's coming at last... that I can't wait these few (8 I think) days until NWN will hit the local stores...

Please enlighten me, people:

Can a multiclassed rogue-magic user (like in PnP 3E DnD) sneak attack with missile or ray spells?

No, a Rogue cannot make a Sneak-attack because of casting times and the noise made by the spell, it's not accurate enough as a crossbow or sword blow so I think that a sneak attack is impossible with magic...

hmmm... You read my post incorrectly, I believe:

In 3E dnd you _can_ sneak attack with spells. (only ray- or energy missile like spells which require a (touch-)attack roll).

My question was:

Has anyone found evidence yet in NWN that this is (or isn't) possible?

Noise has nothing to do with it, as any attack which catches the enemy off guard counts as a sneak attack... You only have to be invisible, for instance.

If nobody has found out whether or not you can do this, could someone test it please?

It only takes one level of rogue and an energy missile spell :) (makes lev0 spell Ray of Frost SOOOOO much more useful ;) )

Damn my cursory reading! :D ;) 'twas silly of me, indeed!

They might have included it, they followed quite closely to 3E rules, but the engine might have limited that, I can see that it might be difficult to include, but I hope it's in, the closer to 3E the better in my opinion! :)

unfortunately I am playing a fighter/rogue with no magic use. I get off sneak attacks quite regularly but I can't verify the performance with magic, sorry. I'll look into it.
