Okay, so I stumbled across the shrine on the island east of ------ where the Indorils were hunting worshippers and they said "Go ahead and loot the place".

When I made my way deep inside, my journal updated and, after talking with certain people there, it updated again. Deducing from these entries, I ran and got the Wise Woman and brought her back. Lo and behold, she named me N--- of the Ahemussa!

The funny thing is that I did not have an assigned quest for this.

I saved at this point, went back to an earlier save and went to see the Wise Woman before going to the shrine but she does not give me any quest or even offer any dialog concerning this. (I have done 3 minor quests related to this group already, BTW.)

Obviously, there is something needed to trigger this quest. Just as obviously, the quest can be completed without the trigger. Question is, will this screw something up? Am I not, perhaps, supposed to be doing this yet? (I was on my way to check on the progress of my Telvanni stronghold, at this point.)

I've decided to put this on the back burner for now but would appreciate any advice.

If you don't mind the spoiler, one of the last parts of the main quest is to be named N**** by four Ashlander tribes and the three Great Houses. Therefore I don't think that doing it early will break the main quest, all you need to do to advance is have them all pronounce you N**** and if you have this already from some of them, it just saves you a bit of legwork later...

I think that the trigger for this is being made N**** (is this too obvious? ) of the Urshilaku tribe, which is the easiest thing ever, all you have to do is ask This is all triggered by the enigmatic Third Trial (and enigmatic it shall remain until someone really needs to know), which is quite far along in the main quest. Enough info? Do you want more?

OK, well on the official Morrowind forums this topic just came up - as I'm not completely sure it may have a bearing on what you should do...spoil at your own risk...

EDIT: It seems that if you aren't N**** of all four tribes then the Ordinators might attack you...

Hmmm.....I killed the head of one House; hope they've chosen a new one by the time I need to be asked.
