'Loading Area' problem when loading a game

I was playing my game like normal, and I quick saved it like normal. Then I loaded it, and it said 'Loading Game' and that part went OK. Then 'Loading Area' came up, and when the progress bar got like 1.5 inches from completing it stops. It sits for like 30 seconds and then windows error messages pop up and I have to ctrl-atl-del. It is really weird, because it comes up when it is loading the AREA, not specifically my saved game. I tried loading another game in the same area, and it worked. It's pretty weird. I looked in the saved game folder for it, and everything looked normal. I tried using the same files in it and made a new saved game, loaded it, and it did the same thing. I'm pretty sure that the 'Chapter Two.sav' is what is the problem. I restarted the computer, same problem. I re-installed the game, same problem. Anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong? Also, does anyone know what the folder 'currentgame' is for in the game directory? Inside is the 'Chapter Two.sav' from my saved game. Eiiieeee, please help! Thanks.

I ran into this problem, too. I had to reload from a previous save that was in a different area and re-enter the location that was giving me trouble.
