The treasure in this game for the majority of containers/monsters seems to be randomly generated.
My question is does anyone notice a leaning towards "random" loot that is usable by the main character.
Maybe its more obvious with my character (monk) and wouldn't be noticeable with, say, a fighter. I seem to find as many magical gauntlets as every other weapon in the game together. Couple of +5 attack bonuses, lots of +3. I've only found a couple +3 weapons.
Clerics, are you finding a disproportionate number of warhammers?
Druids, lots of clubs?
Have the fighters found more than a couple pieces of monk only equipment?
Just curious about how loot is generated. I know in Diablo II there were websites that calculated the given chance of any particular piece showing up in any area.
I remember in BGII, the second time around, I picked weapon proficiencies based on the cool weapons I found the first time around. I wonder if my monk would find a Celestial Fury, or if the chances aren't good because he doesn't have that proficiency feat. Or are there certain pieces that WILL show up in the same place every game?

*********Minor Spoiler*************
Some spawns are, some aren't. I think the 2 bladed sword found in the Tanglebrook estate is permanent, and the stuff you pull off of boss characters is static, but the items you pull from random chests and lower level enemies is aimed to fit your class more than others. For instance the first time through with my elf druid/sorceror I found a lot of robes and scimitars and sickles, the second time through elven ranger/rogue i got a lot of long/short swords and light armor.

It is best to be thought a fool and stay silent, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
