Ok i am an idiot.
I thought this mod won't be that hard, and stuff.
So i went off to Spellhold and freed Imoen and am in the underdark with a level 9 team and no weapon greater than +2.
Well Cestial Fury is the only +3 item.

My team consists of:
Me - Paladin
Keldron
Minsc
Tashia
Imoen
and Anomen (man is he annoying)

Now the beholders are damn smart due to the Sola Mod.
I am in the underdark and am fighting it out in the Beholder lair.
I want to get all the goodies, but the problem is that these smarter beholders do leave their lair and follow me around, heck even into the Drow city. That is annoying.
So any tactics for a level 9 party? (only Tashia is level 11)
I need the help.
I tried shooting cloud kill on the beholders when they are off screen, but heck they follow me.....it sucks.....need help.

Try equiping Anomen with the cloak of reflection (Im sure u got it right??)........give him some charm protection and let him beat the crap out of those beholders.

If that doesnt work, i have no idea.........I used the Shield of Balduran vs the improved Beholders.....no use using area effects.......they chase u anyway.

Next time ill try to get into the Underdark very fast too........one question though: were u got that gold from so fast??

Well i sold all the items i didn't need from the dungeon, which gave me around 4000 coins. Then i hit the guarded compound and got a good 7000 from there. I also have FR and MM and RoV installed. So i attacked the 8 fighters beneath the temple district in the sewers, and got around 9000 plus gold there. Also the SOLA mod makes sure the Black sun attacks you once a night every night. So i got attacked like 3 times through chapter 2 and 3. Giving me a good 7000 plus gold each time.

The problem is that my character (paladin) can take on the beholers however he never gets a hit to them as he is bombarded by the beholders and gauth all the time. I have the cloak and not the shield, any other ideas?

Is there anyway to draw them out one by one and ambush them?
