Just Curious

I looked for the Boots of the Apostle to fufill the 2nd Oracle quest but soon got frustrated by the lack of any leads. I searched a few forums (my playing time is limited) and found their location but I was wondering how others really 'found' them. As usual I probably missed the obvious but I was just curious.
Thanks in advance.

Have you spoken with Dunmer scout and Dunmer savant as you doubtless were told? If so, have you ever made a piligrimage to Koal cave or got a map at least ;) ?

Yes...

Yes I asked the same scout and savant that I asked about the ring of darkness but I didn't see any options for talking about the boots. And the Oracle didn't give me any instructions on this 2nd quest just told me to get the boots. I do remember having trouble getting her to give me another quest immediately after the completion of the 1st but I did go back to her and recheck after having no luck and couldn't bring up any " go see this guy" type of dialougue. It wasn't a case of locating B........ but not getting any leads at all. It looks like there was a glitch with the initial dialouge or I was asleep at the wheel. Either way, no big deal I found the place easily enough though the actual fight was quite a challenge.

What a Maroon!

I should remember to check my journal. All I needed was there.

Well, i didn't care about to speak with exactkly the persons named even the first time so i spoke with first random ones i met. I noted however that the Dukes companion had nothing to say this time, however another his collegue told me all i'd need. Then i met the another one of another profession who told me exactly the same. So i'm ready to go but haven't gone yet. There is mentioning of large underground under the place we both are thinking about what makes this place famous and exceptional amongst the other simillar ones.

What lvl, class etc are you. I was 19th lvl Breton Spellsword and had a tough time. I've been trying to work on the magic end of things so I avoided the Amulet of Shadows walk up and wail on them stategy and tried to rely more on summoning to even up the odds but it can be hard to work in tight doorways and tunnels.

I'm Breton as well, lev.14 Withchunter though. Have pressed on fighters side so far (90 INT, 90 STR, 85 END, mostly spear, 2hand swords and heavy/medium armor. Now going to become more "wizardish" however, because, although i can claim the leadership of house Redoran any time i wish (heavy armor 93, medium 76, long 67, spear 54) it's begin to stund my career in Mages Guild, Temple and Cult (now Warlock, Curate and Oracle). I'm going to seek the boots as soon as i'd be ready for Invoker (my aim is 70 in Ench. and Alchemy now, so i'm going to take vacation, settle down for a while and pay close attention to those disciplines - i have 64 and 60 here yet). I might get Wizard in Mages Guild just now if for quests but my skills aren't high enough. I've got large collections of herbs and souls, so i'll busy for some time. It'd raise me for a couple of levels, so i'll go for boots about level 16, i guess :D
BTW, have one twilight in the gem, haven't met saints or sleepers yet.
All it have source in my decision to join Redorans, since i'm playing the careful, cautious character with high sense of responsibility, hating unnecessary bloodshed, caring about reputation, valuing fair game and honor. Rather paladinish rogue, you know :D The second thing i've noticed it's more reliable to lot more upon enchanted items than on spells at the begining - items do not fail ;)

I was Redoran last time through, what else would a redgaurd warrior be? This time I'm Hlallu and have been focusing on legion, imp cult, and mage guild though my stats are lacking in the magic dept. I don't pay enough attention to the multipliers so I level up often with just 3's. (Though with the patch I have been training my misc. more). I think the 3rd time through I'll try the other end of the spectrum and be a lightly armored mage/assasin, a dark elf with a nasty streak.

Well, i feel the choosing the House should depend more on character and playing style then on specialisation of Houses. My char. disliked Telvani just because their morale is rather lack of any, i could do nothing with it, the decision was adamant :D Hlaalu were brought into discredit because of their connection with Commona Tong - since my char already had joined the Thieves' Guild.
There was some evolution in the view of my hero on this world. In the begining he felt himself closer to Imperial culture and people, then his loyalities began to change ;) Just now his first and dominate loyality is his House, i wonder what would it come to at the end
