Iron Wood?

Whats it good for? I picked it up after killing the guy in the prison (yes, I'm a little slow on the game w/o my trusty walkthrough). Is it good for anything?

Ironwood, as with adamantite and other items, are good for forging weapons.

ironwood Minor Spoiler

Iron wood is used at the Shining Knight (in the Neverwinter city core) to create new magical items. If you have a magical club/flail, you can use the ironwood to create a new, more powerful version of it. (for those that dont know, speak with the owner to get a key to the backroom, where you can make said items)

I am interested also, I haven't done the prison yet (not had the game that long) but I pushed for more reward after freeing the animals from the zoo

(needed to ensure my alignment did not change from it's neutral status again) and this is what the druid gave me ...

ya i was confused at first too. Then i talked to the Smithy at the shining knight, and got the book that tells you exactly what he can make for you. Seeing all the items made of wood, i just put 2 and 2 together
