My goal for this thread is to have people write what they originally thought when they started to play Morrowind and it turns out that you were wrong.

Here are examples that apply to me:

I remember when I thought a longsword that did 1-4 lightning damage was awesome!

I remember when I thought cliff racers were cool.

I remember when I thought 200 gold was a LOT of money.

See what I am trying to get at here?

I remember when I thought this would last me maybe a month.

... it'd be only to easy the waiting for NWN

... there was a lot of people and a lot of posts on this board

I *still* think cliff racers are cool.

thought the game was dark and scary

thought there were lotsa monsters..turned out there were only those few.

thought 3000 gold was alot of money..untill i found out about deadric weapons.

thought that i could kill everyone in Balmora.and when i tried to kill everyone in themages guild. it says that i was doomed!!!whatever that means? so yup i dont think i can go around killing everyone.

Remember When..........

Everything killed me..Scribs(**** roaches), Nix Hounds(cricket dogs), Cliff Racers(Dragons), Old women with brooms(The lady wiht the rat problem in Balmora). I love this game! ..You gotta crawl before you Walk, Slash, Disembowel and totally dominate the World.....WHA..HA..HA!!!!!!!!

... I found a daedric and was stoked I could sell it for so much money.

... the original crew posted in this room all the time.

... back before the stupid nintendo version came out.

... and of course, the long wait for NWN spent playing Morrowind.

thinking that armor had to do with how well you could stealth.

By the way Neverwinter Nights SUCKS!

I remember when I bought this game, loaded it, and breatehd a big sigh of relief because I had a decent rpg to play because NWN SUCKS

I remember when my idea of improving my Alchemy skill was to nibble Saltrice or Hound Meat.

I remember when I tried to improve my Speechcraft skill by using the Admire option - half of Pelagiad took a dislike to me intensely and the other half refused to talk to me (even dear old Ahnassi).

Happy days.

I remember when I thought this game would come out in 1998.

I remember when I thought that everyone would leave Morrowind for NWN and not come back.

I remember when I used to loot crates and barrels because I thought money was hard to come by.

I remember when I thought using hand-to-hand would be good.

I remember when I thought I'd be able to enchant a weak item with 20 enchant skill.

I remember liking Vivec when I first went there.

I remember thinking that the dwemer puzzle box must be at the very top level of the final room in the dwemer ruins, and spending hours trying to get up there.

I remember thinking that magical weapons and armor looked really cool.

I remember thinking that I could sneak up and backstab everyone with 35 stealth.

I remember when I thought that ordinators were tough.

I remember when I thought that the netches were going to eat me.

I remember thinking "How could anything be harder than a Cliff Racer? They so damn hard!!"

I remember thinking Creeper wasn't useful.

I remember when I stayed on the roads.

I remember thinking "Wow, lock level 50 is sure tough!"

I remember thinking "Hey, I bet if I summon 30 ancestral ghosts.."

I remember when I thought Iron armor was good!

Puzzle Box quest

....I remember my very first dust storm (red at dawn), coming out of Dwemer ruins w/ the Puzzle Box; I just stood there and watched in awe(meanwhile, a Cliff Racer beat me to death so i had to do the quest over)
