Ok, after some days the patch for europian version was released.
After d/l and installing the patch i can nolonger start the game, it keeps crashing when it tries to load the menu screen at the start after loading .esm files. At first i thought it must be a problem with the plugins i have installed but no. After unistalling reinstalling the game and applying only the patch without any plugins the game still crashes. Any help?

That almost sounds like a problem with the CD rather than the actual game, does it always crash in the same place?

The game crashes only when the patch is installed, with or without any plugin. Without the patch it works fine. I'll re-download the patch to see what happens.

Good plan :) My patching system seemed to get stuck and then eventually got around to finishing it, check if there is anything like Norton interupting the process.

That's (if it's what I think) completely normal, at 33% the patch stops for ages while it patches that huge mutha of a file morrowind.bsm. Go walk your dog or something - then when you come back it should be done ;)
