Sequencer questions

Do the spells take effect in the order that they are placed in the sequencer? i.e., if I go magic resistance, lower resistance, skull trap will it make the resistance 10%, then lower it, then cast the skull trap?
And when I tried to cast 2 of the same sequencer, it had the sequencer symbol in the special ability thing and a little 2, but when I tried to cast one nothing seemed to happen. Is this because its not possible, or did I just mess something up??? If it is possible, would it use the one I cast first or second first?

yes they do work that way. i usually set up a mage killer, pierce magic, lower resistor breach and feeble mind. :)

you cant have multiples of the same sequencer. you can have one in contingency, one in minor seq, one in major, and a chain contingency. (set contingency to see enemy or hit by, and they work as agressive spells.)

General, What Kitka says is generally true but it is possible to set two (or more) sequencers of the same type, it just isn't desirable. When you click the icon the cursor should change to a cast spell icon. Here's where it gets interesting you need to remember what you put in that sequencer. If it was mirror image, blur then unless you click yourself it won't work but it should report casting failure. If the cast spell icon doesn't come up then you have the why it 'isn't desirable' to have two sequencers of the same type active. The game gets confused and I have had to keep on activating them and resting (etc.) to make it stop. That was before the last TOB patch I might add. - Curdis

I cannot do this. Not with ToB, and not before I installed it. I get the message that I cannot have more than one contingency spell of the same type active...

Are you absolutely sure?

Xyx,

Absolutly and positively sure had the minor spell sequencer icon with up to the indice of 3 shown on (with Jan). Like when you have charges left on a wand or numbers of protection form evil (etc) and it has happened because I forgot I had one cast and and cast again without getting the 'cant cast more than one' message. Because it pretty much screws up your ability to use them I don't think its a good thing but it did happen to me more than once. - Curdis

Curdis, what type of installation do you have? ToB? Patches?

Same thing happened to me. I had ToB, patched, and I think I also had the Fixpack (nopt sure though)

Xyx, Had the experience, as descriped, with a straight SOA patched (same patch level as a TOB SOA install) install. At the moment with the TOB eng patch install Aerie has a seqencer icon on her sidebar portrait (and a minor sequencer, sequencer, AND spell trigger cast) and when you click special abilities there is nothing there at all. - wierd - Curdis

Well, theres definitely some variance here. I just tried to cast a second sequencer, (I have both Major and Minor versions) and it simply wouldn't let me cast it.

So I guess I'm getting the same response as Xyx... :/

Oh well.. ones enough for me :)
