No, Strength damage bonus does not apply to throwing daggers.

r u sure? not to argue, but what's the difference between, say, a thrown axe and a dagger?

A thrown axe and and a thrown dagger both count as missile weapons. A dagger, not designated as the throwing kind, is only for use in melee.
If you want the strength bonus applied with a missile weapon, there is a good sling out there which does that. Been quite a while since I've seen it. Likely somebody else can give you the name, if you need it, and where it can be found.

The name of the sling Fable mentioned is Sling of Seeking.
It is sold by Bernard.

I get your point about why you don't get strength bonus with daggers when you do with axes but an axe is quite heavy and to actually throw one isn't that easy but anyone can throw a dagger.
The ranged weapons that give strength bonuses are, I believe:
Bows if equipped with arrows of biting.
Throwing axes
Dwarven thrower
Slings with magical bullets
Sling of seeking with any bullet.
I wish the game had Javelins!!

Actually, I beleive the only missile wpn that will add a strength bonus is the Sling of Seeking +2. Every other missile wpn in BG is unaffected by str. Im not sure about arrows of biting though.

No the weapons I listed definitely adds strength bonus to you damage.
A thrown dagger like the boomerang dagger gives you strength bonus if you use it in melee(with the melee ability) and does not give you any strength bonus if you throw it as is the fact with any other thrown daggers.
Sling of seeking was indeed intended to be the only sling to give strength bonus to damage but this is not the case. Probably a programming oversight so it may be considered cheese to use other slings with high strength characters. Throwing axes, I am sure, were intended to add strength bonus to damage and does so.
The programming oversights are IMO. Strength bonus with arrows of biting.
Extra damage when equipping normal or magical ammo with a weapon that fires ghos ammo such as sling of everard or gesens bow.
Strength bonus with all slings when equipped with magical bullets.
