This sort of started out in CE's couch thread, but thought such an important topic needed a thread of it's own.
Preferably, provide a link with a sample of the music.
My nominations:
The Ethel Merman Disco Album
Richard Harris - MacArthur Park
William Shatner - Mr. Tambourine Man
David Hasselhoff - I'm Hooked On A Feeling
Carpenters - Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft (near the bottom of the page)
Red Sovine - Teddy Bear
More to come...
One thing I wish I could find is a clip from the album: Sebastian Cabot, actor...Bob Dylan, poet - Sebastian Cabot does a dramatic reading of Bob Dylan's lyrics...

My eyes, my poor horribly damaged eyes
The media companies that produced and mastered those cd's have no shame, no shame at all. Nor a soul for they know the evil they have wrought upon us all by this... damn them to hell

I love 80's music! I have 5 mixed 80's CD's, plus plenty of 80's bands best-of albums.
As far as worst albums-If anyone ever combined boy bands (like N'SYNC) with country that would rank as one of the worst things in my opinion.

What do you mean "if"? Have you seen CMT? Country music is being led down the same teenie bopper boy band trash as the rest......sigh

The time is coming to take some serious action.
BTW, hello and welcome.

Always a pleasure to find more fans of tacky, hair powered music

It helps when I get to missing the good old days.....
*breaks down over his beer*
God I miss those day.

Did 'Wheatus' ever record an album?

Name any TV soundtracks, well except maybe for Ally McBeal which is basically an album of that lady in the show. And even that is pretty poor, just not as bad as the likes of South Park etc. Oh and Christmas specials *shudders*

And hello to you, Bloodstalker. I never get tired of 80's music.
Hmmm. Lets see while we are talking about bad sitcom music-remember that awful hit that was called something like "How do you talk to an angel?" Ugh. That was BAD. It was for Beverly Hills 90210, I believe. I think we all would have been better off without it.

Sadly, I think so.

Pat Boone: In a Metal Mood (No More Mr. Nice Guy). I think they needed to add a "n" to Metal.

Well, this discussion was concluded pretty much at the same time it was started - anything by William Shatner must be so beyond bad it's a winner by default.
