Creating Wizard Items *spoiler*

In Ch.3, there's a bunch of different wizard/sorcerer items you can make, including gargoyle boots. The book I got says I need a gargoyle skull and a bodak's tooth. Then it says I need to need to cast stoneskin. All of this needs to be done in a "proper" wizard's lab, it says. Okay, okay, I got that. I'm a fighter/rogue, and I got a scroll of stoneskin. Do I need access to Eltooryl's (sp?) lab to create the boots? Or can I create them in the wizard's lab to the north of the city (the dungeon with the fire elemental generators)? And most importantly, are the resulting boots any better than the gargoyle boots sold by Neurik at the Temple of Tyr?

I don't know whether you can make the boots at the lab with fire elementals, I never tried that, but they are exactly the same boots as Neurik sells.

Hey, why don`t you just save the game while being right in front of the lab, give it a shot, and then either reload or happily walk away with your new boots?. :) :) :)

**Spoiler**

Hmm hold a sec... I think i get it now... you`re talking about the snow globe dungeon... there`s no way to get inside it again once you turned in the object... and if that would mean going waaay back to an older save, then that`d be definitely not worth it, because as Ares2382 stated, all gargoyle boots are the same ones.

@Ares & Calogrenant: Hmm...well in the description it says that the power of Gargoyle boots depends on the maker. That's why I asked, so thanks for straightening me out.

@Calogrenant: And no I didn't mean the area inside the snow globe. It is the dungeon where you find the snow globe, and you can get back in. I know, because I did save the game while being right in front of the lab, and did give it a shot, with the intention of either reloading or happily walking away with my new boots...but item creation is rather screwy, so I thought it might still be possible to create the boots, and I wasn't doing something right. But it doesn't matter now, since the boots wouldn't be any different from the ones I can buy anyway, as you pointed out. :)
