Can I get to level higher than 20?
If yes, how?
I received Ashera's amulet in the end of chapter 4 and it had a requirment of 26th level!!! Weird.
Thanks.

Known Bug

I saw over on the Official Forums:

Late in the QA of the game, it was decided to change the formula that decides level requirements. The formula was changed to make most items require a higher level.

This is why occasionally you see an item that requires say level 11, when you're only level 7.

Asheera's Amulet, and some other items, end up having their requirements bumped up past level 20.

This issue is known by Bioware, and either the formula will be changed or the lvl +20 items will lose some properties in order to make them wearable. Unfortunately, this is considered a low-importance bug, so it might take a few patches to get it fixed.

Thanks Quark!
The question of higher than 20 levels still remains.
It is possible to make a char of extremely high levels in the toolset so I am wondering about leveling up...

From what I have heard it is possible just not in the single player campaign. I believe it is in Toolset but not sure. There is a flag set somewhere that stops you at level 20. But you can go in there and turn the flag off and then add the experience chart needed for levels above 20. Now that the Epic book is out it is possible for DMs to go in there and add thos things.

The "feature" to remove the flag in the toolset was probably added by Bioware in anticipation of the Epic Level book/rules eventually coming out. There were a lot of questions prior to the release of NWN about Epic Levels and Elite Classes, so its nice to know that Bioware is thinking ahead (at least a little).

But, will I have to wait until NWN2 to get my Paladin's steed?

-= sigh =-

I am happy to say that the answer is no. Simply hit the tilde, type: DebugMode 1, then tilde, then type: dm_mylittlepony, and voila! A steed! :D

Retype the command when you get tired of your steed.

Paladins steeds are basically useless since the idea of travel between maps is done instantly, and the time it would have taken to create all the animation to use them would be too time consuming for such a small part of the game. The biggest reason for the paladin mount was for use with the Mounted combat feat tree and some of those feats would be really hard to program into a game
