How do i get the blacksmith in The Cracked Anvil to make items for me, i don`t see a dialogue option?

I liked it alot better in BG2 where it was obvious. e.g "oo you`ve got this if you had this i could make you this!"

I don't think you can... you can anly forge items in chapters 1 and 3 as far as I know.

Oh, its just the dialogue with the smith hints at something like forging..
