I've started up another game, after making a plug-in with a private room in the Balmora Mage's Guild, and am exploring the Bitter Coast area more thoroughly. I can't believe how much stuff is packed into this area. In addition to being an alchemist's dream, there are loads of bandit caves, dwemer ruins, daedric shrines, and 6th House cult areas. It almost seems you can't move into the next cell without stumbling onto something. Most of these areas have leveled stuff, so if you go there at a fairly high level, you find greater and grand soul gems, Ascended Sleepers and even Golden Saints. I've loaded up 10 grand soul gems with Ascended Sleepers and Saints so far, all in the Bitter Coast area. (And the gems were found in this area, too.)

I noticed that too, I found 4 or 5 grand soul gems in a smugglers' cave just south of Gnaar Mok, as well as some other nice trinkets. I may take a more thorough wander around that area if there are so many good fights!

There are. I finally had to turn back to the city because I had reached max encumbrance, and ran out of arrows and repair hammers.

I agree. Also someone in Seyda Neen under latest rumors, said that someone lost the Mentors Ring in a tomb on the Bitter Coast. Im going to start looking for it soon.

I actually feel that West Gash Region is more packed than the Bitter Coast.

Let's face it, there are fights and loot just about everywhere, which is why we play the game. I've been fairly assiduous in my "pilgrimage" around the daedric ruins, to the extent that I have now run out of grand soul gems - they are all full of golden saints. However, I did note that Lord Fyr had a number of empty ones on his shelves......
