Holstering weapons?

Some people I try to speak to tell me I shouldn't be running around waving my weapons ("This isn't the Docks, you know.").

I don't find anything in the manual about how to put my weapons away and no one I *need* to speak to, from what I can judge, refuses to do so.

Is this just BW's way of avoiding having to implement NPC interaction with absolutely everyone in the gameworld? Unlike, say, MW or Gothic or, even, Summoner?

While not meant to be, that sounds kind of negative so let me rephrase it: is the BW's way of limiting NPC interaction to those who may actually be of some use to you?

Aside from design/marketing oneupmanship and bragging rights over 'realism', there isn't any real need to provide interaction with *every* NPC in the world.

So, just curious.

Not sure about the NPC interactions, but there's a way of holstering weapons, sorta.

Waht you can do, is designating a quickslot for your weapon combinations - say, F1 for your sword/shield, and F2 for your bows. While you could press F1 to equip yourself with the designated sword/shield, if you press F1 again your character will 'holster' the weapons away.

it would be better if weapons where autimaticly holsterd, and when u saw an enemy they would automaticly be drawn.

Many of those people who wouldnt talk to you before will now speak, but few of them have much of interest to say.
