I can't find my house

I bought the deed to Rethan Manor but I cant find it. The deed states that it's on the northeast coast ofthe River of Odai, south of Balmora.

If you know where it is and how to find it please help.

Are you talking about the Hlaalu stronghold? If so, travel south from Balmora along the river toward the egg mine. Just before the mine is a door to another place (I forget where). Climb the hills here up to the plateau and continue south for a bit. The stronghold is almost due west of the egg mine.

Is the Haalu Compound like a cave? Or is it a house?

If you are talking about the stronghold that is built for you-than it is a house-but it gets bigger if you do more favors for the guy who informs you about the stronghold.

I dont know, who is the guy I am suposed to do favors for?

I bought it from the tresurer in the Haalu valts, I just clicked on "land deed" and he said the he has the Rethan manor deed so I bought it.

I have looked every inch but Rethan Manor is not there.

A-ha! You have identified the problem and I can solve it. No one has constructed the house yet. If you go to Balmora, and the Hlaalu House in there where Nelino Dorvayn resides, there is a guy near the first staircase-He is a dunmer wearing an orangish shirt. I dont remember names very well. I am sorry. If you talk to him, there should be an option "stronghold" in the dialogue box. If you are a high enough rank in the House Hlaalu, then you should be able to get directions for your stronghold from him. Post again if you have any troubles. I will be more than happy to shed direction on a given situation.
