I'm in the wizard's cave.
1) I'm using a rogue. Is there anyway I can keep him with me and prevent his getting his butt kicked by a guardian? I've commanded him to stay with me, but he runs off to fight the guardians.
2) I am in the garden. I have gotten the book and the crystal to let me travel back in time...how do I get to the sundials? Are there other sundials further on in the cave?

About the only way to curb Tomi's suicidal frenzies is to talk to him and have him use ranged weapons instead of melee. You can tell him to stand his ground, but then he won't follow you. By having him use ranged weapons, he'll still attack any hostile within his considerable line of sight, but he won't chase after them.
