ok, well, i'm stuck.
i've opened the locked door using that illithid, but when i pass
the corridor on the left, i encounter more and more.
it seems like there's thousands of them.
they cast domination and confusion spells at me, and it too much for me.

what can i do?

The biggest problem I've always had is their intelligence drain. Once you cast chaotic commands, equip Lilacor, or go berserk, you still have to deal with the int. drain. Try using potions of intelligence on a tank, engage the flayers attention with him, then have everyone else use ranged weapons from behind him. Keep an eye on your melee's intelligence and drink another potion as needed.

If you're stuck, one way is to have one person walk up to a door, open it, quickly use the Wand of Cloudkill, then slam the door shut and hightail it back down the tunnel. Do this a couple of times, and they'll fall.
