As the subject tells you I'm a Icewind Dale newbie and I'm already having problems at the start of the game: I'm in the Vale of Shadows Crypt, and I can't find the wierdo lever or button thingie you have to activate to open the door. If somebody could tell me, it would be alot of help! tnx

@Lintelyg:
You're in the Black Wolf's tomb and there are some geared doors that you need to open, right? The lever is on one of the columns between the doors and the entry way. Hold down the ALT key and the lever should highlight green.

However, if you don't have HoW - look at the three columns on the triangular platform. The lever is on the left-hand side of the right-most column - move your mouse slowly over it until it picks up.

Lintelyg, you really should consider flashlink as it has considerable benefits. Not just at Gamebanshee but for other gaming sites.

Now Buck doesn't pay me (though every day I'm a little closer to digging my way out of the 7 pits of hell :D ) but he's got a great site here. I wouldn't insult all of you by asking not to give content away - this has been mentioned enough times in the forum and I'm too damn lazy to go delete them all for such an old game. But think about it for IWD2 and the other great content Buck has here. $24 a year is a small price to pay for gaming bliss.

PS and you could have checked the spoiler thread - its right there! :D
