Chapel Key (Spoiler)
Chapel Key (Spoiler)
In Windspear Dungeon, if you go past the room with the vampires you find the chapel key guarded by a greater wraith. what exactly does this key do? I know other keys found in Windspear, such as the sewer key work in other places, but I haven't found a use for the Chapel key yet.
Never found a use for it either. And every time I'm doing this dundgeon and finding this key, it just gives in my nerves...

That key has no use at all...
...though it was discussed here a looong time ago that the key was originally supposed to open some door in the dungeon but the programmers thought otherwise and just left the key there.

I thought the same thing. I actually tested this once. Like probably most people I always picked the key up first. So one time I tried dropping it and then opening I think the door that opens into the corridors where the werewolves are. I thought that I couldn't open it without the key, but now I'm wondering.Originally posted by UncleScratchy
Hmmm, interesting. I always thought it opened the door to where Samia was standing.
I would try to go back and test it, but with the Solaufein mod installed testing anything is no longer a simple task. I tried going from the Underdark exit to the Copper Coronet to try to get Yoshimo back using Fake Talk. Popped up in Athkatla and that kensai-mage came looking for Celestial Fury. Tried running from him and ran into that Githyanki and told him where he could go. Reloaded and unequipped Celestial Fury, meekly handed over the Silver Blade to the Gith, then before I could cover the 10 yards to the door of the CC, a band of thugs consisting of a conjurer, shadow druid, bounty hunter, berzerker, wizard slayer, and fighter attacked me.
Took me forever to try to make a simple test. I'm sure Windspear Hills is now crawling with liches, souped-up vampires, and bands of adventurers with serious attitude problems.
And all in the same room no doubt.

LOL, but it makes life more interesting, eh. I've just played through with a bard and the little lad that brings messages regarding the play house has been toasted several times by that group of adventurers or the death fog of the wu-jen. Poor little guy...at least someone comes along and keeps raising him...Originally posted by Nygma
