ok, i admit i cheated.......i have the xbox ver and i used the glitch code 2 raise my longsword/shortsword/blunt ect skill cause i love rpgs but i wasn't 2 hot about swinging my sword that never hits so yea i used it. But all this loving 2 kill has takin me 2 some odd places that maybe i shouldn't have gone 2.........i saw that huge moutain aka Red Mountain and so i decided to go and find/plunder new treasures.....which is why this game exist. So im wondering around stompin everything that gets in my way when i come by 1 of million caves that is in this game. It was one of those Dwemer dwellings ( name of cave was Citadel Odrosal).....there was a Golden Saint.....killed him......then a kind of Mini Boss that took some good hits and gave me a few back....i found some expensive stuff that totaled like 40k........and a key so i that automatically told me there was some locked place in here......it was like right around the cornor and i opened it up.....some ok stuff but i found a ladder that led up 2 another room......went up there and saw the coolest lookin sword stuck in the ground (had some steam comin out makin it seem like this sword had some huge value) i picked it up and then its wrote in my journal:

"in citadel odrosel i discovered the artifact blade Keening, one of the enchanteed tools created by the Dwemer Craftlord Kagrenac."

that got me even more stoked about it.......so i took a look and i nearly flipped out!!!!!! it was worth $400,000!!!!!!!!!!!! not like ne1 would give me that much 4 it but still that was worth more then everything i have owned.....(even worth more then my real house!! lol) and then i looked at what magic it was enchanted and i was like NOWAY!!!!!!!

was totally crazy........i armed it right then and there and all of sudden my health starts going down like crazy and then plop.....i fall and die........WTF.......thought it was a error so i had 2 run back 2 the place (lucky 4 me i have a decent memory cause i didn't save 4 like 15mins before the finding)......found it again saved......armed it......died......?? ?? and it happens everytime i try 2 arm this sword....my health just flies down and then i die......theres noway 2 stop it either..... i just die......im wondering if this is a glitch sword (which would make me so pissed off if it is) but im wondering if ne1 else found this sword and has had the same problems......if so plz help!!!!!

Ok, the sword is called Keening. Yes, I does give you a mortal wound and kill you. You have to have a Gauntlet called the Wraithguard to wield it without it damaging you. If you followed the main quest all the way to the end, you would figure out that it is one of 2 of legendary weapons used to kill Dagoth Ur. You get the Wraithguard from Vivec, close to the end of the main storyline. You can also find a really good warhammer called Sunder. It is the other legendary weapon that you have to use on Dagoth Ur and have to be wearing the Wraithguard. If I were you, I would just stash Keening somewhere until you get Wraithguard, or keep it in your inventory. I would strongly suggest you do not keep it with you, though, because if you accidentaly equip it, you will die, and that is not good if you have not saved for a while. Good luck to you on the main quest, if you decide to follow it. For the question you will ask right after you read this post, yes, you can get Wraithguard without following the main quest, I heard, though I do not know where you can find it.
