Did anyone find the last battle hard?

I recently finished SOA, and the average finishing level was 18, and I found Irenicus and four buddies easy!

it is a matter of tactics you will find it hard taking them head-on but depending on how you do it it can be pretty easy.

I soloed him (without a Cap remover) and didn't take damage...

that is pretty need what class were you, kensai/mage? but you didn't just bash into him I guess if you didn't take any damage there have had to be a little brainy tactic behind.

I just finished SOA and found the last battle pretty easy too. I first entered it completely unprepared and ran around in chaos and got wiped out. The 2nd time I powered up before the battle, set one character on each beast, and annihilated them. Daemons, even Balor, are generally not that tough. Irenicus' Slayer didn't live up to the rep either. The end scene was pretty cool with all the characters shouting their war cries and then Irenicus getting his just desserts in hell. I have TOB installed and the seamless transition worked nicely.

I didn't find the last battle hard - with a tank heavy party I cleared out Bodhi's lair, walked to and cleared Suldanessar, fought Irenicus on the tree, and then in hell, all without resting. However for a less tanky party it might not be so easy. I think in the battle in hell I just walked in no prep, summoned some sword spiders during the battle, and just took the demons out first, then piled on Jonny. There was some damage taken but nothing serious and no big strategizing.
I think it's just the endurance of the final days that could be hard.

The first time, yes I found it hard. Then I actually bothered doing a little reading on magic and found that Breach would solve all my problems.
It just got easy after that

Heh. A Berserker/Mage. The fight was bordering heavily on Cheese, I might add (though not
pure Cheese).
I cast Mislead and ran off into a quiet corner (the stairs of the Greed test or something). I then sent out my clones to clear out the Demons. After some time (and several clone waves), they killed all the Demons. They used Scrolls of Time Stop, Horrid Wilting and Incendiary Cloud, among other things.
The clones almost took down Irenicus as well, but he managed to kill them and regenerated. I had to step in myself (prepped so much the little icons didn't even fit in my portrait anymore) to do it myself.
I noticed a large area around the big door has some permanent Farsight around it (about a fourth of the map's total area). Neither Irenicus or his Demon buddies can deal with invisibility. Next time I get there, I'll drink some Potion of Invisibility and simply walk away, leaving Jonny & Co right in the middle of that big Farsighted patch, and find a nice corner again to prepare and send my summons.

This fight is a joke compared to...say...the red dragon...
Anyway first when i saw Jon into a slayer and summon 4 demons i laughed at him then casted prot from evil sent keldorn to keep Jon busy, casted my protections and summoned a couple of elemental then slayed all the demons one by one...then ran in circle waiting for Jon's protections to wear off to finally kill him in a snap... end of story easy as pie and goodbye my lady

Was your party maxed out when you fought the Dragon? I found Firkraag about as hard as Irenicus, and in both cases I had already hit the XP cap.
Did you have the Baldurdash Dragon AI Fix? That made quite the difference for me... Firkraag moved around a bit and "accidentally" stumbled on where I was hiding, summoning and casting prep spells. Oops! Added an extra dimension to the fight.
