I soloed with a Swashbuckler from SOA to TOB and did as many evil paths as possible. here are what evil stuff I did

note this thread contains MANY SPOILER'S in both SOA and TOB
Spoilers (as well as my evil path)









in SOA here's what I did
-destroyed the Dryad's after I got the acorns and lamp from them
-betrayed Hendak the slave and destroyed him (why should I ruin a slave operation?)
-got the thief guild stronghold and ruined it. I gave every thief the highest risks possible for their missions then I destroyed the people left in the guild. it was fun seeing them say "Run the boss is on a rampage" as I ran after them. 2 thieves managed to get back however so I killed them to as well as the quota collector
-threw renfeld's body (the injured harper) in a cabinet in the adventures mark until I decided to ruin the harper guild
-destroyed every animal I could around the De'anrise keep
-ransomed off the lady to get the silver pants
-destroyed the chickens in the Umar Hills, it was fun seeing that lady say "stop doing that to my chickens"
-poisoned druid grove
-gave rift device to Gaal
-destroyed the 3 warriors in the sphere and refused to bring Lavok outside
-attacked the Dryads that attacked me for destroying the dryads in the first dungeon
-Betrayed Garren in the windspear hills by killing him and had the wizard kill his son/daughter (it's your opposite gender for your child of Bhaal's gender) for the deed title for Firkraang, then killed Firkraang for the fun of it. (why should I have mercy on other evil people?)
-sided with vampires in the guild war.
-did evil/insane path in the tests
-sided with the king in the underwater city
-destroyed gnomes instead of destroying the demon for them (and the dragon didn't care)
-told the matron mother about Phaere planning to betray her then let her sacrifice the silver dragon eggs to the demon then escaped the drow city and destroyed the silver dragon, I'll never forget what she said "you have returned when my eggs have been destroyed, I sensed their deaths, all that partook in this crime shall pay but your failure makes you the first".
-destroyed Drizz and his group of adventures

as for TOB here's what I did

-there was a kid in Saradush that said me "my daddy says that bhaalspawn eat little kids like me" so I told him "your daddy was right I'm here to eat you roar" it was well worth the 1 rep loss
-summoned a demon in the saradush inn (how was I supposed to know that it would attack everyone?)
-TRIED to imprison Volo but it didn't work (that cheater the spell did it's animation which is only shown if the spell works)
-betrayed Saradush for kiser
-destroyed the imprisoned one and then destroyed the knights that gave me the mission in the first place
-helped the monk destroy the priest in Amkethram
-told Marlowe that I've decided to destroy him instead of helping him since it was fun (why should I give the lich a soul?)
-let the mayor's daughter die for stealing
-let a demon loose in the Amkethram inn (hey I can sleep at other places)
-destroyed the crazy wizard that wanted the beholder eyestalk in Abazigal's dungeon when I HAD the eyestalk he wanted.

and of course the NPC tormenting.....my favorite part

Imoen- beat her up in a duel in the first dungeon but the coward ran away so later when I got her back I finished her off in another duel

Minsc- had him join my group when he should of fallen. Minsc got mad right away and said that we should strive for justice. then I used the shadow keeper to remove boo from minsc and then I destroyed Minsc in a duel

Jaherira- after Irenicus's dungeon she wasn't in front of the harper guild like she was supposed to be so I settled for tormenting her spirit by destroyed the harper guild. but later on in TOB I could summon her up and when I did she attacked me so I beat her in a duel

Yoshimo- I admit it I messed up on Yoshimo he disappeared just like Jaherira but I couldn't summon him up so had to be destroyed from the geas spell I guess

Aerie- I destroyed her the moment I found her in the tent and then I destroyed her uncle later on.

Nalia- I got her miserable after saving the keep and got her to join me then I destroyed her in a duel in front of her aunt and the captain. then I destroyed the captain and let her aunt live to torment her spirit

Anomen- I was going to have him fail his test but that would require 10 days and a quest without being solo so I settled for having him use a cursed scroll and attacking the noble order of the radiant heart. but I used a cursed scroll of protection from petrification which turned him into stone. then I had keldron attack Anomen and he went hostile so I automatically attacked Anomen and defeated him.

Korgan- I got him all mad about his former friends beating him to the tomb (cleared it out first) then I destroyed him in a duel

Viconia- those fantics were saying "hope that the cleansing fire saves yee" so I decided to take no chances of that with Viconia, so I attacked her when she was tied there and once I beat her the fantics just walked away

Jan- first I got him in jail for like a month and then I had him attack his family, he betrayed me of course then but I beat him in a duel

Valygar- I turned him into the cowled wizards, it was fun seeing him say "no no someone please! someone help me"

Keldorn- I tried what one other evil person did of using the cursed sword of beserking +3 to let him not betray me while attacking the noble order of the radiant heart but it didn't work so I destroyed him and the radiant heart myself

Haer Dalis'- Haer Dalis' had his final farewell perfance in front of no one on the stage in the tavern that he's from, I beat him in the end of course

Edwin- I was going to have him get turned into a woman but that would take too long so I had him imprison himself and while the spell was taking effect I gave him a wacking.

Cernd- I found a bug that lets you poison the druid grove and not have Cernd betray you so after I poisoned the grove I went over to where Cernd was and destroyed him for the druids

Mazzy- I beat her up in a duel after I found her and told her to stay in her cell. I thought that the place disappears after you finish this quest but I was wrong but still I defeated her.

Sarevok- Sarevok was so eager to live again to so I beat him in a duel again.

I admit though that I couldn't beat the final TOB boss from the stone skin that was cast repeatly and invisble when in effect plus the offense of just the boss was too hard to beat. so I cheated to win at the very last part of the game only and then I took all of Bhaal's essence.

Pretty impressive. Too bad you couldn't get Keldorn to betray you with that cursed sword. Then you would have been eligible to run for high office in the nation of your choice.

Very nice run thru, good specifics on the various things you did to prove you were ruthless and heartless, although I think a lot of swashbucklers are charismatic and fare well with the ladies, you sound more like a chaotic evil barbarian.

As far as party choice for a 1337 kr3w of evil people I favor Myself as a Half orc Fighter/Thief, Korgan, Viconia and Edwin. Very nice details, I enjoyed the WHOLE post

Welldone, and I always thought BG favoured 'goody two-shoes' role playing.

- killing all the cowled wizards would be a worthy addition even though they are corrupt anyway, a little poetic justice.

I was able to write down all those details since I wrote it in my user journal after I did it. I called it the "book of evil".

due to being unable to use every item as a barbarian that would be harder. I had a hard time thinking of quests to do later since they were either currently too hard or had undead in that I couldn't face yet from not being able to use any level drain protection stuff.
also I had a -21 ac at the end of the game but the max I could get with that super golem suit for the pants was -24 so that's the max you can go in AC.
I enjoyed doing the evil path and tormenting those NPC's, I liked to finish them off in duels. too bad Yoshimo escaped me.
and that post was SO long that I think that I should of gained 3 posts for it (not really but point is that it was long).
can anyone think of what evil that I didn't do (besides stronghold quests that I couldn't get from being a thief.

Edit: I just noticed that I forgot to say that I sided with the vampires in the guild war to, I just added that in the top one.

Betraying Garren(?) in the windspear hills by killing him and his son for the deed title, then killing the red dragon to top it off.

oh I forgot to say that. I forgot to put it in my user journal. I did do that, and then I killed the dragon yeah. I'll edit that in.

Why a half orc fighter thief!?!?

Be a diesel fighter with plenty of GWW's later on while wielding anything you want and luring them into spiked traps all the while!?!?! come on now, thats FUN.

I enjoy the XP bonus the game gives you while using thief skills and it really should be an essential element of any dungeon-crawling party. (I aim for 2 fighters, a thief, cleric, wizard of some kind and if i can fit it, a bard.)

I cant think of anything aside from general the general 'Kill everthing' bit I tend to use when I get high lvl,

I mean everything though.. Everysingle person in athkatla, umar hills and trademeet

hey sometimes you can torment people's spirit's to. I did that to Jaheria at first since she just vanished but I got her in the end.
I was disappointed that I couldn't get Keldorn to betray the noble order of the radiant heart, that guy lied that said they did with that cursed sword. I would of spared Aerie's Uncle if she hated him. I enjoyed turning in Valygar since I never liked him much anyway. and I never liked Mazzy, Cernd, Haer Dalis', or Keldorn either.
I wish there was an evil laughing smile that I could use in this post. (but then I'd end up using like 50 in the first post )

However I believe that killing your own characters is stupid.

I mean, the game itself offers plenty of opportunities to follow the evil path without doing useless violence.

Killing people lowers rep, true, but can block some quests and dialogue.

I managed to complete the game in a good and in an evil way without getting off the story path.

The only thing I miss is the Vindicator, the Chaotic Evil Paladin... Bioware should implement them...

My Cn Socrer had a psycotic episode just after buying everything and doing everyguest he needed...

Then he killed everyone, EVERYONE....

Im soloing one at the moment, lvl 24... Killing cowlies and soldiers left and right and thems worth big exp, I barely need to quest anymore

about messing up quests by killing people. you kill them AFTER the quest is done. like for Haer dalis' I didn't make him do his final farewell performance in the area he was rescued from, I waited until after I finished the quest to do that to him (there was no evil path at all in that quest). that's what you do. I wish that every quest had a good and evil path in the long run (so that you could do evil everywhere when your having fun!!!)

The primary missing thing in this genre of games is that the world doesn't seem to realize what you are...

I mean that if you start with a chaotic evil character, and you behave accordingly, the world treats you like a lawful good paladin... or at least a part of it (see the vendor matter below).

This is absurd.

The manual tells that if your rep is too low the vendors won't sell you anything... but tell me folks, why on earth should a vendor who is in the opposite corner of the map know that I am evil?

But, most important, why the people speak to me like I am a normal person if I slaughtered half town?

Fallout 2 handled the rep matter in a better way, even if it wasn't perfect either. At least the fame slowly spreaded in the cities and the feedback was really different from BG serie.

It would be great that the world acknowledged my actions in the right way...

about shops not serving you. I read that if your rep is 2 or lower (about that) that shops won't serve you, but in TOB the temples (which were the shops now) still served me. unless it was changed in TOB it's a lie or a mistake in BG2.
but you have a point nexus. in some cases when people go hostile to you how are they supposed to know from how that you did whatever it was that makes them attack you from how fast you get to them?. like how do cowled wizards know that your attacking the town if you don't use any magic in your attack?
and in rep losing quests where people are supposed to be doing secret deals with you (like the slave quest) just how they supposed to know that you did an evil thing by killing Hendak? (it would be more obvious if you freed the slaves so no question there).

Why would you want to roleplay someone evil?
