Craig posted yesterday teh closest a pc can come to a sorceror fighter, or sorceror thief. This is great, it still has gaming limits, but I felt he should get the credit and attention for the cheesiest dual I've ever heard of, except the wizard slayer thief combo.
Its still not perfect, of course. a simple perusal of the manual tells you that optimally you should go for around level 20 or 29, dual to second class... if you go lower, this makes combat duration chain contingency very difficult...cast nrd and chooose chain contingency and find out you have no memorized spells worthy of chaining...I also suspect the class is much more evil than I originally thought....in wild magic rooms in watchers keep, chains and triggers work fine. so if you can pre combat prep your chains and triggers, they should owrk just fine, without danger of wild surge. this class more than any other should have all sequenceers and triggers ready and set at all times. actually, let me take that back about the level. dual when you have your first or second level 8 slot...if you can live without planetars, this is optimal since you can still use nrd to cast chain contingency...and use this as a mini timestop. but if you want the quest level spells but also dual earlier, to get good stats for fighter or thief or even cleric, use shadow keeper to hack in.
here is a question, craig...if you dual to cleric, all your cleric spells are not affected by wild surges, right? The sorceror cleric...evil.
WAY TO GO CRAIG!
Phewwww. LIMBERGER!!
