I have figured out how to work the switches, and have gotten various levels of different ranks. but I can't figure out how to master a rank.

It seems that you need to have 7 squares won when you complete a row of 3, but can anyone tell me what order to pick the squares? The most I am able to get in one round is 6 squares, and that completes level 4 of that rank. The golem says I need 7 squares to get level 5, and I just can't figure out how to get 7 without winning early, LOL...

Its driving me nuts. I know there is something I am just missing, and thought I'd sleep on it and look again, but still no luck.

Any help is appreciated, and thanks in advance.

Well, I figured it out finally on my own, and thought I'd post the answer in case someone else's brain refused to work for a while. Geez, I feel dumb.

. ok, if you do these 6 squares that have x's first, whichever one of the last three you pick will end the game at level 5.
