Okay, so I've talked to everyone I can find in the caves under the monastery. I've found the blue stone for the dude, I've talked to the lab lady...
I've got the ingredients for the potion to kill the Viciscamera, so how do I use them???
My Wizard has an Alchemy of 20... so do I use that?
Was I supposed to kill the Lab Lady?

Heh, I used the hack and slash approach on the stupid thing (before it occurred to me there was an easier way). From what I gathered from the book, pick up the necessary ingredients and then have someone with good alchemical skill approach the lab table and click on it. I killed everything inside the lab.
