first of all i am not sure this is where this thread should be...... but any way. here i go!.
when i was finished with Dulags tower, i journey back to Ulgoths beard, and were met by that asassin cult. ok i didn't give them the knife, and i tried to kille them all. one of them teleported away. then nothing more happens at all. i go into ALL of the houses, and that dwarf in the inn (can't remember his name) i cant speak toeither, not even a text comes up. Ok i thought someting is wrong, So i went ALL the way back to Dulags tower, to try and find out if i left the knife on the demon. but i couldent get down there again, because the throne room was unable to open one of the side doors. i can see that there was no monsters in the dower, and checked my journal, and it said that the cult had stolen the knife. *the wierdness is spreading* so now i go back to Ulgards beard AGAIN. still nothing happens (there is no guards infront of the house). nevermind i thought, and went to BG to kill off Sarevok. when i got through the labyrinth, and walked in the door to where that underground village was supposed to be, i suddenly got a "welcome to the sword coast" video, and was sudenly back in Ulgoths beard..... the cult demon never showed (in the cellar).. and i ventured forth and killed Sarevok instead.
Now i ask..... did anyone ever had someting like that happen to you?!.... i installed the patch, but maby there is one more i havent heard off!..... it was most annoying
Or is it just my computer acting up!?
I have played BG before, but never ToSc, so i wouldent know.
HELP!

Does this happen every time you play?
Maybe it was just a glitch, and then reloading helps often.
Else? don't know, the bassic stuff, reinstalling patching etc.

eh, i wouldent know. because it's the first time i have ever played ToSc. I never had any problems with regular BG.. oh well maby it's just my computer..... but thanks anyway

Sounds like a bug that didn't get fixed in one of the patches.

I'm playing POR right now and I came across one there, that people have talked about and it wasn't fixed on any of the patches.

I have played TotSC several times, and sadly, I can't report the same experiences - I had BG installed, TotSC and ran the patch, included on the TotSC disc. Normally, the TotSC consists of 3 parts: Durlag's Tower and 2 other places. If you finish these, you'll get a movie telling you you've finished the expansion and you can finish the rest of the game as normal. BTW, did you talk to Ike in Ulgoth's Beard? He's supposed to guide tours to Durlag's Tower. If you haven't already, try that... maybe this forces the rest of the story to trigger .

I haven't had the exact same problem, but I have had some problems with starting ToSc. I usually kill Sarevok then go to ToSc, anyway I kill sarevok, wait for the game to start ToSc.....
But no it wont, instead of starting ToSc it ends Bg! I then try loading my Final save to see if it will work this time. No. The ONLY way I can play ToSc is to play with the premade party, and that's not pretty fun. I guess it's only the Scandinavian version that has that sort of problems.



Btw, I have got the patch, And I have Reinstalled the game.

Have you started a new game, to see if you then can go to the new area's?
