What are the best bought items throughout IWD2?

I'm starting chapter three and I have about 308,498GP, which in my estimation is quite a lot of money for your average adventurers. (This is mostly from the sale of ammunition that was really cluttering up my inventory...arrows of stunning +1 sells for 30k a stack, and Flaming Darts +5 sells for almost 50k!)

Now then, what would you recommend as worthy purchases from various stores in the game???

For me, I'd recommend from chapter 1-2:

Targos Pavilion:
Ring of Wisdom +1
Targos Town Hall:
Sash of the Black Raven (+1 to attack; immunity to confusion and feeblemind; monk only)
Girdle of Beatification (bless active when worn)
Chameleon Ring of Dexterity (Dex +1, Hide +1)
Oswald Fiddlebender after crash:
1/4 Weight Boring Beetle Full Plate (AC +8)*
Winter Wolf Cloak/Scarf/etc. (Cha +1, Cold Resist 1)**
Various places:
All potion bags, scroll cases, and jewelry bages!!!

Other possibly useful purchases are a short sword of sure striking (+1 bonus/+5 enchantment) from the townsman at Shaengarne and, of course, all the wizard spells. Targo's main store had a lot of lesser magical items but nothing really jumped out at me there, except maybe the mummy sling.

*Note: Oswald can only make these 1 at a time and it takes him 2 days to finish one.
**Note: The cold resist stack if you wear several pieces, but the charisma bonus does not...(too bad)

Oswald makes one full plate armor for three days, one field plate armor for two days and one lightweight armor for one day.
You cannot order another set of the same armor no matter what. One of each only.
All three sets of armor are good. I gave the lightweight one to my rouge.

Eh? I ordered five sets of the heavy stuff: two for my melee types, and three to sell when I got back to civilization.

I seemed to have the same experience as Rheomyr...

hrrm.

in my game oswald will only make one item of each type at one time, but will make more than one copy, he'll keep making stuff until you run out of pelts & shells.

*side note* pick your stuff up before you finish the temple. little *** ran off w/ all my pelts!

That is strange. He would not do multiple copies for me. Dialog options would not appear.

He does one; then you pick it up, and you can commission another. Do you mean to say Oswald doesn't offer you the same item you've just purchased, after you've picked up your order?

Yes, Fable, he did in my case.

A bug perhaps?

It's certainly odd. I would suggest closing the dialog after you've picked up your item, and starting it again. If that doesn't fix it...I don't know what to suggest. :(
