I'm just starting the game...so is there a way to improve my PCs walking/running speed? Moving across the screen is too painfully slow for me. And before someone says sys specs...

Pentium 4
640megs Ram
Geo 2MX 32megs ram
SBLive 5.1
Full install

defragged drive
everything else completely unloaded

and still my Monk just jogs across the screen like he's lilly gaggling around...

any help would be beneficial.

You have pressed the "Always run" button? If you have, no, there's no way to run faster. Atleast I haven't found one.

Always run?

Now I sound like a newbie, but what key is always run?

Thanks.

You will find some boots of speed later in the game which do increase your speed of movement considerably, there are also potions of speed that can be collected throughout the game. Of course they are better used in battle :)

I believe there is a potion dispenser somewhere in Luskan but I can't recall whether it does potions of speed or not.

Yes there is a "contrapulator" at the Luskan sewers that creates almost every potion in the game including Potions of speed, assuming you know the right combination for it. :)

Sorry, I have just been playing Morrowind for some time now, and mixed them.

There is no "Always Run Button"

Again, Sorry :(

Boots of Speed are nice but they only speed YOU up, so you end up running away from your henchperson and familiar; this can have unfortunate consequences, especially for casters. To be fair, they are handy for combat or if you're playing the game solo.
