No problems at all, though that battle was pretty tough, well worth it though, the holy avenger rocks.

where can i find it?

Where is the holy avenger located? You mentioned Kuldahar, I am in chapter 5 in dragon eyes now, but cant find the graveyard.
Or it only available in heart of fury?

You couldn't possibly be in Dragons Eye having not found the graveyard. It's just north of Kalduhar valley where the guardtower is. Theres a big door in the rockface that only Jermsy can open for you and the graveyard is on the other side.

yes, I have clear the graveyard which is prety easy. Then I continue to dragon eyes. My question is: where is the holy avenger sword? Since this original thread said he got it in graveyard in Kuldahar. Or it need some quest to active?
And my thank for your reply.

In Dragon's Eye level 3, once you defeat the the Yuan-Ti leader, Thorasskus for the first time, he slithers away and reveals a new entrance. This entrance leads to a room with a locked door with some treasure, including the pommel gem for the Holy Avenger. Take this back to the graveyard and the sword will appear, along with some major baddies.

still probs with holy avenger

I was wondering if it was because I set a couple of delayed blast fireballs on the exact arrival place of one of the lost ones - he dies instantly and maybe that doesn't trigger something in the game to allow the exits to become available once they're all dead - i.e. maybe he dies too soon

For those who have managed to get out - did you simply walk out or was there anything special you did once killing the 6 to get out ?

Thanks

The fight is not hard at all, I still dont know why everyone is saying it is. Just read the bloody medalion and figure what hits what, so when the sword pops up just charge 2 of the mages and then charge the guy with arrows, and then the guy with the sword and then the dwarf, of course pop out like 4 animate dead, I think you'll have some zombie baddies by that time, so the dwarf will beat them down while you take care of the rest of the 'lost followers' bunch of sissies they are. And then once you kill em all, my bad 'make them your honarary biaches hehehe' then the blue text should say something along these lines "you have killed the lost followers, extinguishing their evil forever" not sure if thats exact words, but you get I think near 6 or 8k of exp and a holy avenger! Good sword too I think!

Thanx for help

I have got the holy avenger sword. A little bit dissappointed. It is a large sword with damage only 1d8+5, and 2d6 magic damage.
If it is a great sword, it would be much better. I am not sure that one previous thread said it is a great sword!
And one more notice point is my paladin got 5 more maximun hit point after clear the field! horhor

:D

The Holy Avenger IS a Greatsword. Try equipping a shield, you can't. It does have a lower damage rating that a true Greatsword, but the fact that it does tons of damage to evil creatures more than makes up for it. For the record, I don't think there are many NON-Evil opponents in IWD2.

not a great sword

the Holy Avenger is a "great" long sword...my paladin can equip it alongside a shield - of course I can't get out of the cemetary to do anything with it but that is another point

I'll be damed, it IS a longsword. I feel really dumb considering my Fighter/Paladin has Weapon Specialization in greatswords not longswords. I really don't understand it considering I could have sworn I tried to equip a shield with it as a test after I found out its damage rating was lower than a greatsword, ah well.

I think its a good idea that it is a long sword and not a greatsword. Cause it would of been hellshly powerfull then, kind of like in BG2. >=)

It Is a long sword. There is a patch can convert it to greatsword modifier. However I prefer two weapon fighting. So a long sword "holy avenger" is just great!
