help with yuan ti temple

I'm in the yuan ti temple and there is a statue here between a couple levers that raise and lower the bridge that is right in front of the statue. Am I supposed to do anything here?

Not necessarily. But...

Funny thing, when you rip a heart out of someone's body, they seem to become undead with some sort of homing device that takes them right to their heart. I also imagine that they'd be pretty angry with those who ripped out their hearts as well...

If and when they actually get to their heart.....
