I don't know exactly, but i'll try
every level up you get a certain amount of hitpoints
for a fighter 1d10 (1 to 10 (roll on a 10sided dice))
for a thief 1d8 (IIRC)
for a barbarian 1d12
for a mage 1d6
And for a high con you get extra hitpoint per level up (don't know how much, see the manual)
after a certain level you get less amount of HP per level up (IIRC)
I think i haven't awnsered you're question, but at least i gave it a shot

I think you have stumbled accross something buggy. The formula is as follows:
On easy, every roll gets you max hit points.
Your fighter half should get 10 base +5 for 19 con * 6 levels = 90 hp/2 for being a multi-class = 45 hp.
Your theif half should get 6 base +2(max for non fighter) for con * 7 levels = 56 hp/2 for multi-class = 28 hp.
That brings your total to 73 hp. (Note: I may be wrong on the starting levels.)
From this point forward you should receive 15/2 = 8 hp every time you level up as a fighter and 8/2 = 4 hp every time you level up as a theif.
Fighters cap at level 9, then receive 3 hp per level, and theives cap at level 10, and then receive I beleive 2 hp per level. I'm not sure how it would be divided seeing as you are multiclass.
Hope this helps.

Some corrections:
for a barbarian 1d12
for a fighter 1d10
for a cleric 1d8
for a thief 1d6
for a mage 1d4
The CON bonus for a multi is applied only ONCE, but the greatest bonus
from the two (or three) classes is chosen.
Obviously though, it's splitted in two (or three) level ups.

I think we said the same thing.
Example: fighter/mage, con 18. You'd have +4 points level as fighter,
+2 level as a mage.
The bonus applied is +4 (you might think about the average instead, +3...)
the +4 bonus is split in two level ups.
example: you go from level 3/3 to 3/4, and gain 2 bonus points.
You reach 4/4, and gain the remaining 2.

Basically you get half the hit points of what you would get. So if your a fighter you get half D10 + half your constitution bonus (ie 2 if it's 18). Same for any other classes you might have. Crappy 2nd edition rules for you!!
