Who is Arkanis Gath? Why is he unkillable??

He's one of three potential allies (along with Drizzt and Eric the Paladin) you can acquire who will turn up for the big showdown with Bodhi. As for being unkillable, well--he is supposed to be your ally, after all. Buck up: you can kill Drizzt, if you really work hard at it.

Is he gonna be that strong when it comes to Bodhi...? Because I could just relax and watch then... ;-)

No, he will not be that powerful then. He's there also for the Shadow Thief quests, to prevent you from screwing with the plot. Thats why he's unkillable and has an instant kill attack.

...But, he *is* one of the big three you can get to go with you to confront Bodhi. He's very useful, there.

It took some time to get him nailed:
First all spellcastingspeedimproving items on a mage.
When he appeared, Timestop+Shapechange Mindflayer, bite 3 times, dead Arkanis, pickup backstabbingsword +3
But I bet you already knew that, didn't you?
