I had sent this info over to Interplay also but still have yet to hear back. Ok this problem just started recently. Both me and my wife are going through IWD II and are on Chapter 5. Now all of a sudden her machine is super laggy when we try to do anything. If I pause she catches up. We tried switching it so that she is the server and all that happens then is I lag and am unable to pause until she catches up. I am on an AMD 1800+ with 512MB RAM and shes on an AMD 1600+ with 512MB. We both have GEFORCE video cards. This problem just started recently. We have played in the IWD Configuration we tried moving the performance video bars all the way to the lowest setting but nothing changed. Anyone else experience this? Is it the game or her machine? I am guessing the game becuase her Sims Online and NWN both work fine.

I experienced simmilar problem while playing Baldur's Gate I. I can't think of the configuration panel but if it includes cache field make sure you have at least twice as much free hard drive space as the cache is set.

Check for viruses

Check virtual memory (Windows). To avoid problems I usually set the minimum value equal to maximum value (depending on the size of the disk 500 - 700 MB)

Check for latest DirectX and Video card drivers.
