try this at home kiddies, but if it crashes the game, its not my fault....

pause and have 3 mages all cast spell immunity, in my party one sorc had g acutiy on, so it might be best to have a sorc cast greater acuity...i dont have a non hacked bun bun led superparty, so just see if it works...anyway, have 3 mages pause and cast spell immunity, unpause, and choose a immunity, after the first row of spell immunity buttons go away, the second set stays around, and around, and around....

it seems to be random between aerie and sola, but i made aerie immune to every school, then clicked on sola icon, and got out of the spell immunity buttons row....

but i was able to make aerie super stacked spell immune, just like a sorc....using one stinky spell....its just a game bug, but for a few turns, i think its a few turns, you can make one npc totally immune to every school... :D :o :p

as soon as i finish my current run thru of the imoen romance with all the girls...immie, aerie, jahiera, vixen, and sola, (hehehheh...finally saw him come on to vaygar....funny,.....)

i will uninstall game and install flirt packs...

so in honor of flirt packs, will release new versions of zaichek zaichek....

version 9, most immunites removed, just 90% or so resistant to magic, wizslayer kensai sorc.....

version 10, just for you jae, wizzy, kensai, and wild mage cleric with druid spells.....

and both versions will be hacked to let you romance anybody,,,,except tashia, hehehhehehh.....

and i got this wicked cool replacement pictures for viccy and imoen...imoen is a really good alyson hannigan, and for viccy found this killer picture of ashley scott, the huntress in birds of prey....

I tried this but could not get it to work. If I have more than one person casting spell immunity the one who isn't highlighted does not get to choose at all.... how did you do it?

which mods you got loaded?

i got sola 79, ease of use, item upgrade, and immie romance....

thats actually kinda what happened, the person chosen last to cast spell immunity got the extra immunitys, but the other people didnt complete their spell....

i clicked on sola, bun bun, and aerie, while in pause, and each cast spell immunity at the same paused instant, when i got off pause, sola cast, i chose abby, and then aerie cast, and after i chose abby the spell immunity selector did not go away....
wierd, i simply dont know if it can be duplicated anyway...

well, stacking spell immunites is annoying but makes certain battles way easier, abby and necromancy makes you immune to abu and breach, but you need prot from energy or elements to protect from inc cloud...so is still limited in usefullness...

sigh, but its fun playing spell immunty abby against improved mages, they keep trying to dispell you...and keldy dispells wipe them off the floor, while your stacked prot from energy and elements keep you comfy while your inc clouds chained to cast on self fry them all...

i did note a error in smarter mages, they got bad targetting, i mean how many times did you see them cast a inc cloud at themselves???

they did not notice their body guard standing between you and them, so they hit the body guard with spell, and die...hehhehehhe

Are you sure spell immunity abjuration protects you from breach?

Corrections:
  • Spell Immunity: Evocation *does* protect against Incendiary Cloud,
unless it's cast by the same caster.
You're doing always the same mistake User :p Spell Immunity does NEVER protect a caster against his own spells. Check Xyx's guide ;)
  • Spell Immunity: Abjuration does *not* block Breach.
Only Spell Shield may stop a Breach.

Aha interesting Littiz. I was wondering why I couldn't use spell immunity to protect myself from my own cloudkill.
What if I let a simulacrum cast cloudkill, will my spell immunity protect me then?

"Spell Immunity: Abjuration does *not* block Breach.
Only Spell Shield may stop a Breach. "

then what the frik is kuro and undead sola doing? i always assumed they were spell immunity abby and that was stopping my breach attacks...are they just stacking prot from magic weps???

if so then khelbens should work in a chain contingency....must try out....

oh yeah, have you posted this in the guide? wish spell magic resistance....

sets everyone to 40%, and i doubt its detected by ai as a hostile, so should make dragon killing much easier...hehehheh....

using wish should not be detected by the dragon ai as a hostile act...since much of the wish spell effects are overlooked by any improved ai mods, like smarter dragons, so you cast the wish spell way out of sight of firky, reload until you get the set magic resistance option, and he has lost much of his magic resistance, letting abu and imposions get thru....

hehehhehehehehhehhehe

now the fun thing is this is a variant of the old cheese classic, casting magic resist, the blue cleric spell on a dragon, which in a updated dragon ai will turn it hostile, but a wish spell affects the whole map, so you can cast way out of sight of dragon, thus keeping the ai from triggering attack rage, then move the party in, cast your spells, and the spells should work much more effectively...

ok, is this stinky enough for you guys????

man wish is such a cheesy spell....

i think i have at least one cheesy effect option every time i cast it...

even the create wand effect is cheesy, i once got a wand of spell strike, a wonderful wand, best in the game, in chapter 2 without going to the keep...

can someone test for me??? wish exploit with resist magic????

i dont have a game in which i am in windspear or umar hills....

also, am trying tonite to see if immunity alteration or free action or webbing party protects from improved mages telly field....

I´d love to see the alternative portrait for viccy, user. (already got the one for immy). Think you could attach them?

Bun bun v.10 is gonna be one vicious bunny! Can´t wait, user!
BTW, did you read Kayless dungeon crawl inc? If not, I think you´ll love it right here. Enjoi!

Ahaha! Kind of a philosophical question!! :D
Yes, that way you're protected. Not enough of a clone it seems :)

@User:
Kuro has tons of Prot. Magic Weap. scrolls.
Anyway, I confirm.
Breach *cannot* be stopped by anything else than Spell Shield.
Not even Spell Trap stops Breach.
(Combat protections are taken down, while Spell Trap remains uninfluenced)
The only other counter is becoming untargettable.

Another wrong assumption is about Khelben. You can't use it as it
was an "improved Breach".
Khelben's Whip *does not* remove combat protections, like stoneskin,
it affects the same kind of spells as Pierce Shield.
(I never understood why there is this "urban legend" about Khelben)

my fault...you see, using it on liches, and dragons, sometimes they work like chaos...they broke scripts, thus the creature ai would go into recast spell protections, so they sat around doing nothing for 3 rounds,,,,if you used a chain with breach, the dragon or lich was combat unprotected for 3 rounds,.....

ok, just confirmed resist magic cheese, will post on new thread...

jae, here is viccy as ashley scott...yummy,,,,

Hey Littiz.
Sometimes breach does not remove stoneskin, have you encountered that? I just fought mekrath an he seems to cheat. I started of by hitting him and it said hit but didn't do damage so I figured he had stoneskin up so I tried breach. Got message that protections were removed but when I started hitting him again it was the same thing. This was not because he was blue or anything, the dialogue had taken place and he was hostile. Another thing is that I was improved invisible and protected by spell immunity but he could still cast finger of death and kelben at me...why is that?

Spell immunity evocation is awesome hehe. In my party I have me human kensai/mage 12/17 haerdalis and Imoen. I am at spellhold right now and just faced the lich on the second level. I sent haerdalis in alone protected from fear and wearing ring of free action and under a spell immunity evocation spell. Then I casted inc clouds from a distance hehe. I can memorise two of them so two is what I casted... took out the enemies pretty quick and haerdalis was uninjured :D
I guess this was a bit cheesy since it wouldn't have worked if i didn't know who was behind that door but anyway.

now, with smarter mages, the lich would have d gated and telly fielded the rest of the party as soon as it spotted haer...so spell immunty evo becomes even more important...

the designated hitter, the sorc or edwin or sola, who packs the spells needs two, prot from energy and elements cast on them, thus becomes 127% immune to fire, he/she is the one who chains inc clouds, while the rest of party is just spell immune...i think the duration is about the same, so instead of 12 casts of prot from energy and elements per party, two for each member, you can just do 7 castings, two for the inc cloud tosser, and spell immunity for everyone else...

sure makes smarter mages much easier...

@Bruce:
you catch me unprepared. who's Mekrath, someone in the thieves guild?
I never played that... do you happen to have maybe the Improved Thief
Stronghold?
In truth, it never happened to me...
I can think of only a few reasons why Breach shouldn't work:
-the target is immune to spells of that level, as liches
-the target has indeed Spell Shield, a modder could have done it

No wait.. you mention those messages..
If you received the hit messages, and then no damage, this means
resistances!!As when you're "hit" by your own Sunfire, the engine
considers you hit, but your temporary resistance negates the damage.
The easiest thing to understand what's happening in such circumstances
is CTRL-Qing him in the party... do you have a save?

As for the invisibility... that has 2 possible explanations AFAIK:
-the caster sees NATURALLY invisible things (like dragons)
-the spells are force-scripted
I really suspect you have some mod involved
