You can leave your stuff at the order of the radiant heart. You can also leave your stuff at the Copper Coronet in one of the chests..or at the Adventurers mart in one of the bookcases or at the guarded compound in the temple district if you've removed the evil slavers from it. (the only time stuff will disappear is if you leave it on the ground)

you can store items in any container throughout the game with out them disapearing, but be careful not to place them in containers in areas you won't be able to get back to.

my favorite spot is the empty crypt of the lich in the city gates district, since it's quick and easy to get in and out of (presuming, of course, that you've killed the lich Image )

I use the back room of the Seven Veils Inn in Waukeen's Promenaide. It is centrally located, you can rest there, the temple is just below you, the Adventurers Mart is down the stret, etc... Besides, it kinda feels like it is "my" room no matter what that fat wench thinks.

By the way, I keep everything I can. I've got magic stuff, leftover mithril tokens, vials of all manner of liquids, countless notes, one helluva library, assorted body parts, and even leftover corpses (what else can you do with poor Monty?).

In fact, you can just leave them in a pile anywhere AS LONG as they´re in that pile along with a game-crucial item. This worked for me several times during my game.

Same with me, if I had a room wouldn't they let me rest there? But when I tried I got the find an inn message. Also, as extra storage space I found out that the Winter Wolf Pelt is in fact a CONTAINER. If I had known that before Spellhold I would have taken a great deal more stuff there.

Um...actually, I've personally seen items disappear from chests, and I've read many, many posts indicating that this happens regularly. The only truly safe places to leave items are in whatever stronghold(s) you gain. For instance, if you acquire the Planar Sphere and are a mage, you can leave items in the four chests to the west of the entrance. As someone indicated already, you can leave items in the Radiant Order chest in the little room to the back, but only if you've already joined the Order as a paladin.

(I have to say, paladins really get it bad when it comes to "strongholds." Mages, fighters, and thieves beat 'em anyday in that respect.)
