We all had shows that we watched that were cartoons or somewhat childrens programming. What did all of you watch when you were kids, or at least your favorite shows when you were kids? (And Im talking beyond the toddler years where you watched Sesame Street or Mr Rogers. )

I was just clipping channels today and I stumbled across an old show called "Tiny Toon Adventures" by Stephen Spielburg...and I just thought to myself, "My gosh! It must have been 6-8 years since Ive seen this show..." And I watched every afternoon when I got home from school, ten years ago.
I also watched Animaniacs after Tiny Toons retired from the air at the time...

I also really enjoyed The old Batman cartoon series. I always watched that. And before that was the Transformers cartoon. Not to mention, when I was quite young, I liked "You Cant Do That On TV" Im sure there are more that Im forgetting at this point in time...

Ahhhhh! I forgot about this one....I looked forward to the repeats every weekday, and the new ones every Saturday morning....now how do I remember what times it was on?

Im going to edit my original list-add the Turtles to the list along with the Garfield cartoon show...I have always liked Garfield whether in comic form or TV form.

I joke about my age a lot up here, but this is where I *really* date myself. Even my wife, who's five years younger than me, didn't catch the stuff I did as a little kid. I just happened to hit things in the very first years of television's popularity.

Let's see. As a kid of about 3-5, I used to watch:

The brand new Abbott and Costello Show
Kukla, Fran and Ollie
Crusader Rabbit (same folks that later did Rocky and Bullwinkle)

I also vaguely remember the Burns and Allen Show at the time (watched it much more frequently years later) and the Bob Crosby Show (because the latter came on right before Abbott and Costello).

Didnt the creator of Howdy Doody recently die? I saw a 5-10 minute memorial on that show, which I never watched, and I still felt bad

@Ysh Heh. Pink Panther the cartoon series? If so, I loved that show too...I remember when I watched that in the early morning, but it had a later air time during school hours, and when I was in 1st grade, I felt really sad sometimes cause I knew if I was at home Id be watching it and enjoying it (even if it was reruns) but instead I was at school missing it.

Yeah, quite a while back, I think. I still remember when they had an attractive looking woman as one of Buffalo Bob's sidekicks, dressed in generic American Indian garb , called Princess Winter Fall Summer Spring. She left the show, and I later found out she'd died in an auto accident. Her replacement was a clown called Clarabell, who proved very popular. After the HDS died, he went on to become Captain Kangaroo.

I also remember the enormous number of network problems that occured in those days. There weren't any satellites, so everything was sent via land lines. They were originally built for phones, so they weren't always the best, and there wasn't a day that went by without major networks losing audio, video, or both for minutes at a time. Every local station had their own PLEASE STANDBY sign. One of the most inventive added the phrase, "We'll probably be restoring service momentarily," and show several technicians pouring over a television camera, while one custodian glanced suspiciously at an extension cord disconected from a wall outlet.

Then in a very close second it definitly was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (I had a close bond with Rafael's character, I swear)

Conan (The one with the snake people and the weapons made of star metal)

Dark Water (Cool pirate cartoon)

Transformers (I was a bit young so dont remember much)

This one cartoon that was kinda a Transformers deal but it was people in cars that fought and the bad guys cars all had plant parts as additions to thier cars while the good guys just had cars.
