i really cant believe no one has tested or noticed this before.....but improved invisible creatures who cannot be targetted with spells, CAN....

ok, i first noted this in the underdark, when edwin had a chain contingency prepped for a anti mage attack, and the smarter mage had a inv stalker summoned, so the chain went off and hit the invisible stalker!!!! i went, WTF.....

spoiler...

so i finished the underdark, and went to kill undead sola with smarter mages, who, the evil sneaky trick, casts imp invisibility with spell immunity divination, thus making him impossible to breach....right??? wrong...

the trick to killing him fast is to hit him with a triple chain contingency of ruby rays, alteration so its not stopped by his spell immunity abjuration, so i got down to the lower level, improved hasted my main pc, and opened the door just enough to pour elven holy water, then ran in, triggered the dialogs, and ran out, shutting the door...thus undead sola d gates to your party,,,,my trick involves isolating undead sola...edwin chained triple ruby ray hit him!!!! while he was improved invisible!!! true sight, breach, slice and dice and i won!!!

so chain contingency will even force cast spells at inv creatures....

sorta like having your very own forcecast spell script...whoo hoo...

:D :p :o

When fighting improved Irenicus for the first time I discovered something interesting.
Spoilers...

In his third self, he had some protections that even Spellstrike seemed unable to dispell. That when he was even targetable, since he constantly puts on a Improved Invisibility that True Sight can't dispell (and Jan was to busy casting some buffs to be dispelling illusions).
Then Tashia's image casted a Wish hoping for a "rest and re-memorise". No such option, but appeared the "Breach all enemies in the area". It worked!
I tested it further on other improved AI enemies and it worked everytime! Undead Sola, Liches...

By the time I get Wish I also get Dragon's Breath, so I don't care about MR :D
Seriously, I prefer Kelsey unloading Lower Resistances and Pierce Magics under Improved Alacrity. 0% resistance to every enemy in the area in no time ;)

Hi guys, one tactic I like to use against inv enemies is ...

...

...

...

...

...

...

Summons!

Especially planetars. Use the Project Image thingy to bypass the limits and the summons will unerringly go towards inv creatures. With cannon fodder in the way, you can have time to do your thing, prep, chain, target, kill, etc. :)

planetars and skellys, everybodys fav summons, can see invisible, even impr inv and spell immune div....

but swords, inv stalkers and such can be fooled by inv enemies...

planetars also have high magic resist, dispell magic per hit...

now here is a trick...cast cleric regen on planetars and send them solo against dragons...the regen makes them pretty close to unkillable for duration of spell...makes them superb killers and lethal, especially with imp haste and globe of blades...
