Rhedd just released three new female breton heads + additional hair. http://home.wnm.net/~bgriff/MW_BretF.html

Pretty sweet :)

First Leiawen (Pretty Faces) and now Rhedd. One wonders why Bethesda didn't use modellers of this calibre in the first place.

Dammit. I already restarted when I saw how good looking the new faces by Rhedd were and now this? ;) (I know, I could simply change the head through the console, but somehow it doesn't seem right :) ).

No kidding. Especially when you consider that the 'revised' heads are only a few polygons more than the originals... It's a shame that Bethesda didn't spend as much time detailing the characters as the environment. Might as well look good while we're saving the world, I say ;)

Just to save anyone else a possible 'Dammit, but I already restarted to use a new head once...' headaches :D I should say that I've heard the textures for all the human races and all the elf races have already been completed. Once the models for them are built, they'll be released.

3 female nords and 2 male nords are just waiting on models for their hair, so probably nords will be next.

Rhedd seems to be on a role. @Cjdevito, have you tried 'em out? Do they slow down the game at all?

If your willing to do it you can always just change it through the console by typing "ENABLERACEMENU" without the quotation marks. If i t screws up just save it after the changes and restart the game. Make sure to keep a backup before hand.

Fable, I've been playing with a character using one of Rhedd's female imperial vampire heads (well, of course I made the vamp heads selectable. I'm known for that :D ) since saturday. No performance problems at all. The models really don't use all that many more polygons then the standard ones, so if there's a performance hit, it isn't even noticable on my system.

One thing I just realized I never commented on, and it deserves recognition. The vamp heads? The wonderfully detailed irises of the eyes for these heads are emitters.... they glow. The effect is subtle, but remarkable. It's a master touch for sure.

It makes me wonder why Bethesda hasn't done something similar, especially since it seems to use very little resources. You're right, those heads add a great deal to the sense of dealing with actual people.

Now, if we could only turn the average dialog into something more than a question-and-answer session... ;)

To show you what I'm talking about with the eyes.... here's a pair of shots of a not-yet-released new female dark elf head (he hasn't made the hair for it yet, and note the original bethesda head in the image for comparison) that also use emitters for the eyes:
