No problem, glad I could help, anyone else need some problems solved? I am that good that when someone needs help I psychically implant messages in their heads which let them figure it out for themselves, fear me mortal.

Care to explain what the problem was, Loredweller?

It has hapened to somebody before when some vital NPC disappears just when most needed :D So it has been discussed on the board what console command should be used to get the NPC back. However, the search gave nothing, so i put the question. However, most of boardsmen are obviously busy elsewhere when i use to attend the board, so i have to figure it out myself. Lack of patience, of course, but i hardly could help myself with waiting :D

Sharn Gra-Muzgob is the most evil bastard in the world. He absolutely loves just disappearing into the floor when noone's looking...

It had been first time he made bold with me. Nonetheless i got him back.

I'm not a Necromancer!

I understand that Sharn gra-Muzgob is a necromancer and I have an unsolved quest in my Journal relating to this. By her side is a locked chest with a book inside proving she is a necromancer. Seemingly, seeing the book is not enough to complete the quest and I need to read it. I can unlock the chest with only a minor bounty being placed on me. If I pick up the book to read it (and it confirms that she is a necromancer) mayhem ensues! I suppose that I should be able to solve this quest more peacefully. Any ideas?

Well, you're right - why should we care? Just to clear up the journal I suppose. If I can't expose her without getting expelled from the Mages Guild, she'll just have to continue her nefarious but interesting goings on!

Men, where did you get this quest? Never had this one!

The only point seems to be to clear the quest from the journal - so not much point really! When I try to read her books I get set on, expelled, reported, kill a main character - all without really trying! Certainly not worth messing with her. The quest comes as a side quest while doing something for the Spymaster early on in the game.

@UncleScratchy
What's the reason to expose her then - and to who?

You always can get her back, can't you? Altogether i didn't find plain evidence in her chests. Neither i met anybody interested in her.

In my case it went like this: She assured me she was no necromancer. I took the book from the chest and read it. I talked to her, agreed not to expose her and in return she taught me a spell or something. We are still friends now, I always give Sharn a wave when I pass her on the way to the guild guide.

I have a problem with this person - Caius sent me to talk to her, but when I do, she won't give me her errand. The only two dialogue options are "duties" and "Mages Guild," and "duties" is in regards to duties for the Mages Guild. Can anyone help me?

I encountered this quest before. The whole thing--the sudden appearance of the note in your journal, the disappearance of the person--leads me to believe it's an eliminated quest that was never fully expunged from the game. But if that's the case, you'd think they'd have removed every trace in a patch.

Maybe she doesn't like you enough? If so, you could use some persuasion to open up more conversation topics.

Her disposition is at 100 - anyone know the name of what she gives you in return so I could do the additem cheat?

It shouldn't work. There's more than item, you must get the record (several, in fact) in the journal. And she should start the conversation with the "errand" topic, one has no other choice if all is right. Have you checked all related topics while talking with Caius? I had in some occassions difficulties of such kind when some conversation option had been skipped.

I'm having this same problem right now. :( Sharn has suddenly disappeared, just when I need her.

I already found the skull a while back... maybe that has something to do with it.

Anyways... I tried getting her back in her spot. I tried the console command ra (reset actors), which reset all the others but not didn't make Sharn reappear. I also tried "sharn gra-muzgob"->placeatpc, but that just made the console scream errors at me. :0 What did I do wrong?

Any other way(s) to fix this and save the countless hours I spent? I'm already at day 55, and I only rest to level...
