Assassin/Mage Multi Help

Im playing an elven assassin/mage multi solo. I was wonderin if anyone had any tips taht may prove usefull?

You'll find the spell Melf's Minute Meteors very useful as an assassin-mage - you can poison them. At higher levels, cast Mislead + Tenser's for multiple backstabs without having to hide.

If you're just about to start, consider using Fighter/mage/A. I'm playing a party because I'd be bored solo, but I've used him with max points in Hide/Move silently and traps till 1M Exp. He's actually easier to play than a party of 4. Took out Mencar, Sewer Party, Paladins, Capt. Dennis, he could even have taken out the Guarded Compound solo ..(++Longsword, ++ShortBow,++Dual Wield..No Katana as I have Imp. Guarded compound. Will get CF late.)
If you're using SK to create M/A, what do you do about the extra spell slot you get when levelling up? Apparently the game still thinks you are a specialist mage if you pick a non-mage kit in a multi class involving mage, and gives you an extra slot. Is there a way to edit this extra slot out?

Sure, with ShadowKeeper, but the game may put it back on the next level-up.

indra, if you install the ease of use mod, you can make multi grandmasters,....hehehhehehe.....assassin bonuses with grandmastery in 3 weapons, hehehhehehheh....

btw, kemra, due to a glitch in the multi class implementation, a fighter thief or triple including thief can get multiple picks of the assassinate ability...with eventual x7 backstab, with assassinate and impr haste, the carnage is aweful....or just go in under mislead and tensors...not for the extra hp, tho that is nice, but the thaco bonus makes you almost a kensai of the same level....

I just leave the extra slot open. This char is powerful enough even without it..Cleaned out Imp. Guarded Compound yesterday solo. at low level..He is VERY good. Kemra, you should definitely try the F/M/A if you're thinking of going M/A.

Wonderful Idea, but the Triple cannot get 18 proficiencies (6X3+Dual-Wield)- too many fighter levels to get. My problem right now is even deciding which blades to pick. I will only get profs at levels 12 & 15 now going into TOB. I'm not even
sure I should put ++ in Katana or start putting +s in B*****d Sword/Scimitar in preperation for Foebane/Spectral Brand.
Kemra, this is the main problem if you decide to play as a Triple. As you know you only get weapon Profs for the Fighter Level ups, so you had better know which blades you like. Going into TOB I think you will have at most 9 Weapon prof slots
(6@startup+1@Fighterlvl9+1@Lvl12+1@Lvl15). If you put at least ++ in Dual Wield That leaves you 7 profs. Choose wisely..

you guys knew that was coming, eh????

two handed swords is just too fun, holy avenger +6, soul reaver, gram, and with sola mod and item upgrade, the improved soul reaver, eclipse reaver, and improved lilacor....all have some wonderful benefits and powers....

halberds.....ravager!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wave for anti fire elemental work, dragon breath, which is really as good as flail of the ages for anti mage work...

katana...with tactics mod and item upgrade the katanas really really shine....sanchu and celestial fury +5.....

warhammer, crom, and runehammer....

see, just about any choice has got its good points, pick for roleplay reasons, really...

I believe so yes. It is possible to poison melf atleast.

Interesting,

With 9 attacks a round, that could be a whole lot of poison.

you can also poison arrows of detonation, and poison a room full of monsters all at once....

now for the ultimate...

equipp black razor or valen claws in off hand, cast energy blades, cast poison, and attack under impr haste....

poisoned energy blades, and once out of every 4 blades you attack with blackrazor at RANGE!!!!!!!!!!


equipping a meelee weapon in off hand and casting energy or melf allows a off hand attack with the meelee weapon at range....

oh yeah, you can poison black blade of disaster too..hehehheh...
